🐴 Another super session in the treadmill for Basil today! 💦
Today we increased the water level to add a little more resistance, while also slowing the speed to encourage full, deliberate and definite steps.
The treadmill provides a controlled way of working a wide range of muscle groups, helping to develop strength, balance, coordination and overall fitness. 💪🐴
Basil is continuing to make great progress, and it’s lovely to see him working so positively through each session! 💙

What a busy week on the treadmill! 🤩💦🐎

It was lovely to welcome so many new faces last week and meet some fantastic horses and their owners, while also seeing plenty of our returning customers.

We love watching horses settle into their treadmill routines and following their progress over time.

A huge thank you to everyone who has visited us and continues to support Wood Farm Water Treadmill. We love seeing so many horses enjoying their sessions with us. 💦

It only took three years but we finally made it to a competition!! 🏆

We entered the 70-80cm class twice to build our confidence and despite a very polite stop in the first round where the rider forgot she had legs he jumped two super rounds, with no dramas and no 'Bean' antics! 🩶

So proud of him for keeping his cool, not getting stressed and he actually looked like he quite enjoyed himself! To top it off he got his first frilly for 10th!! (Not much or impressive for some but for us it's everything as he was happy and relaxed) 🎠

Thank you to @nostressequine for running a super chill show @shellymooresequine for all the bts to get us to a show and to @jonye14 for taking us! 🥰

Because correct biomechanics and developing strength requires a variety of training - a great experience @woodfarm_equinetreadmill with Broadway in preparation for the 6YO National Final. A fab professional team, great setup, performance focused and relaxed environment!

We’re introducing the water treadmill sessions to Broadway’s routine on a weekly basis and building up the water level and duration progressively alongside his regular training schedule. He’s been on a consistent supplement for topline and joints with @bettalifeuk PharmaPlast Ultimate Topline and PharmaQuin Joint Complete for a while now and really seeing the benefits 💪🏻🍑

Tell me what you think in the comments!! 🙈👀

It was actually a really really good lesson, we jumped a lot bigger than we usually do, and Rio was so perfect the whole time. I thoroughly enjoyed myself actually, and this lesson was really successful in my eyes! 😂
Thank you so much @shellymooresequine for such an amazing lesson, I’m sorry for giving you some paperwork! 😂🙈

Bean jumping amazingly at Wellington yesterday with @shellymooresequine 🔥

An anxious jockey made for some very questionable riding but managed to pull it together to jump round the course at the end thankfully Bean was a saint and stepped up to help us out until I sorted myself out 🤩😳

Thank you @shellymooresequine for squeezing us in at the end of a very long camp day! 🥰

Another day another session with my Jekyll and Hyde of a pony 😈😇🤦‍♀️

Not sure what had upset him or why he got his knickers in a twist but Bean had a massive meltdown in our clinic on Sunday which resulted in some very uncharacteristic behaviour that we haven't experienced in a while 🥺

So we made the decision to stop him, put him in a time out to chill and calm down before we started again from scratch once everyone had finished their session and left the arena. Very thankful we did stop and listen because immediately his entire demeanour and attitude changed just goes to show that stripping it back to basics and going back to a trot and pop never hurts anybody and can make all the difference to the end result. 🎉🥳

Thank you @shellymooresequine for staying behind so that we could finish on a positive note and helping us work through a pony meltdown❤️

Bean in our clinic with @shellymooresequine at April Farm. 🕺🏻🪩

I think he was practising his best bouncy ball impression accompanied with a new impressive trick of kicking out over the fence... thankfully he didn't decapitate any fillers 🤭 🐓

Couldn't fault his behaviour with it being his first group session and he didn't disgrace himself to get us sent to the naughty corner (which has happened before!!). 😈

Thank you @shellymooresequine 🩶
