Mamba 100 was my hurricane make up race and I told myself that I would run in a hurricane if this next storm goes that way. Glad I was already mentally prepared for that situation because we dealt with rain on and off for 10+ hours. From a mist to a complete downpour! I had the gear to get the job done and I wasn’t stopping until the finish line. My Nashville girl @addison_walling came to crew/pace me and she absolutely rocked the role! We had a blast and I’m forever grateful for her company. The last loop was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. It was raining hard and the mud was very bad. I knew the chance of injury was high but I had faith that God would keep me safe. I prayed most of that last loop and by the grace of God never fell down. Despite my feet killing me, I ran that finish in hard and will always finish strong. That’s what my Mama taught me! She’s my inspiration every single race. This race marked my 3rd time hitting 100 miles in a year and I improved many aspects which I’m super happy about. First, my watch didn’t die overnight as I kept charging when I came into our tent. Second, I stayed pretty alert and that’s probably due to @ketoneiq. That stuff tastes rough but the mental clarity is worth it. Lastly, I didn’t focus on my watch and instead I focused on the 7 loops. The goal was to stay positive and have patience. We did exactly that and had an epic time! Thank you @drcalebgressett @brandonhylton for getting me race ready! Y’all are the dream team! Major thank you to the @mambatrailrunners for hosting the BEST race. This was the most organized race I have ever been to in my life! Thank you to everyone that has supported me in this journey. Love you all ❤️🙏🚀 #keepgoing #mamba100 #grateful #trailrunner #memphis #shelbyfarmspark #rodsheros #getoutside #godfirst #wolfpack #finishstrong #100miles #ultra #run
