Receiving the Mercyline "Mike" Bernardo Female Executive Living Legends Award is a moment of gratitude, reflection, and growth. After more than 26 years in this industry, I recognize that every door I’ve walked through was made possible by someone who had the courage to open it before me. For 35 years the Living Legends Foundation has championed those behind the scenes and inspired the most important attribute, living your truth.

Celebrating the legends. Honoring the legacy. Supporting the future. ✨🎶

The Black American Music Foundation Board of Directors, including Founder & Chair Demmette Guidry, Founder & Board Director Michael T. Mauldin, and Board Treasurer William “Will Kelli” Kellibrew, joins our BAMF family in celebrating the Living Legends Foundation and its 35th Anniversary Awards Dinner & Gala in Atlanta!

Special recognition to Living Legends Foundation Board Chair David C. Linton for his leadership and dedication to advancing the Foundation’s mission and bringing our community together for this milestone celebration.

We also celebrate Founder & Chairman Emeritus Ray Harris, who received recognition for his enduring contributions and the vision that helped establish the Living Legends Foundation 35 years ago.

Much love to Honorary Gala Chair Q Parker of 112 and Honorary Ambassador Chaka Khan for supporting this special evening!

Congratulations to BET President Louis Carr, recipient of the Ray Harris Lifetime Achievement Award; Atlanta’s own V-103 radio personality Greg Street, recipient of the Frankie Crocker Radio Personality Award; and Tim Reid Jr., BMG’s Senior Vice President of Repertoire & Marketing, recipient of the Music Executive Award! We salute all of this year’s outstanding honorees. 🌹

Behind the songs, careers, and cultural moments we cherish are people who champion talent, open doors, and create opportunities for generations. This evening was a beautiful reminder to give them their flowers and celebrate the lasting impact of their work.

Our BAMF family is proud to support the Living Legends Foundation’s commitment to recognizing industry leaders, preserving their stories, and investing in the future. Coming together to celebrate our history and the people who continue to move it forward is what family is all about. 🖤🎵

A HUGE BIG shout out to the one and only Mr. @kennardgarrett. #Happybirthday week my friend! I know #laborday was your actual birthday but being that so many of your family members are also being celebrated as a #Virgo, I figured you still had another week or so at least to celebrate. 😂🤷🏾. If you-all know Kennard and his attributes as a Grammy winning producer💿, an educator, CEO of Pace Recordings 💽 and director of the Ray Charles Performing Arts Center; then you know a GOOD ONE! 🥂 🎂. Brutha, we celebrating this week for sure!!! Anyone with me! 💥🎉💥🎉📦

When powerful forces come together, meaningful conversations happen.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for ”The Mayors” Fireside Chat at The Gathering Spot as we kicked off Black Music Week 2026 with an unforgettable evening of dialogue, insight, and inspiration.

A special thank you to Mayor Andre Dickens, Atlanta’s Cultural Mayor Jermaine Dupri, and Ryan Wilson for sharing their perspectives on leadership, culture, creativity, and the future of Atlanta. The energy in the room was a reminder of what is possible when civic leadership and cultural influence come together with a shared vision.

To everyone who attended, supported, and helped make this experience possible, thank you for being part of this one-of-a-kind moment.

This was more than a conversation. It was a celebration of Atlanta’s impact, innovation, and influence.

Colors of Atlanta, produced by my talented @discoveratlanta team and @tantraww won a 2026 Emmy in the Art/Entertainment long form content category.

Colors of Atlanta is a four-episode TV series highlighting 12 visionary Atlanta photographers as they capture the city through food, culture and history.

Our soccer documentary, United We Roar, was also nominated and we are beyond ourselves for the recognition of two projects that mean a lot to the team and our city.

Congratulations to every single person who touched the projects. ❤️❤️❤️ I am very lucky to get up every day and work with such talented people, doing something I absolutely love.
