Gas prices. Flight costs. Food. Hotel. Ammo. I get it. Everything is getting more and more expensive to go train. But what are the real costs of NOT training?

As we celebrate the birth of our nation this Fourth of July, the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office pauses to give thanks for the countless men and women who have sacrificed to secure and preserve the freedoms we enjoy as Americans.

We are blessed to live in a nation founded on the principles of liberty, justice, and faith, and we are reminded that our rights and freedoms come with a responsibility to serve others, uphold what is right, and honor God in all that we do.

As we gather with family and friends today, let us remember those who have worn the uniform of our Armed Forces, those who continue to serve, and those who have given their lives in defense of our country. We also extend our gratitude to the first responders, dispatchers, and public servants who stand watch over our communities every day.

From all of us at the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office, we wish you and your family a safe, joyful, and blessed Independence Day. May God continue to bless our community, our state, and the United States of America.

Happy Fourth of July.

Tonight at 1915CST on YouTube we take a look at how being prepared saved my rifle class and training 2 times in one day! I will be in the premiere chat to answer questions.

With YouTube trying harder than normal it seems to shut down positive voices for 2A and prepared minded citizens. I ask you all to share this content and take a moment to like and give the finger to them.

@natural_state_defensive put on a 2 day Patrol Carbine Instructor course.@sheriffchrisbrown and @toohunnitandfitty traveled from Arkansas and stood in the rain and provided absolutely fantastic curriculum, great times, "good jokes", and most important to me High Standards.

I was provided the chance to shoot thier 10-8 drill which is a set of accuracy and time Standards taken from 1000s of OIS from across the country. If you meet the accuracy and time Standards they allow you the chance to shoot the Life Saver Drill (LSD) which is a second faster for each stage. I cleaned both and took home LSD card No.8 and am truly honored to have done it and to have met and exceeded the standards.

The biggest thing you can learn from instructors is their "WHY" and the stories and why behind their Standards and the coin design.

If you can these guys are absolutely worth your time and cash. They are also Staff instructors for Modern_samurai_project and I have been fortunate to attend MSP instructor With Chris and Matt and now thier NSDS course. They have a survival handgun course that it sounds like I will get to do next year and I can't wait!

Black Rain did such a badass job on Chris's rifle!

Check out their site and try their Standards. Just great folks and great times #gotrain #rangeday #modernsamuraiproject #itsnottheoddsitsthestakes #copsshouldbebetter
