***1/7/25 Update on Our Break-In Post***

After speaking with the school Principal today, we learned that the individuals seen on the premises between 7:24 p.m. and 3:40 a.m. on 12/31/24 were contractors hired by FWISD to perform electrical and fire alarm updates. Unfortunately, the Principal was not informed that this work would be taking place and therefore was unable to notify us in advance.

The FWISD Security Team reviewed the footage and reported no suspicious activity during the time reported. We are collaborating with the school to implement measures aimed at preventing similar situations in the future. These measures include exploring additional safety features and establishing processes to ensure we are notified of any scheduled work in our designated area.

While the loss of the gifts remains disappointing and puzzling, we are relieved to have gained clarity about the situation and appreciate the opportunity to work with a Principal who values our mission and shares our commitment to supporting the community. Thank you to FWPD for their quick response and follow up investigation and to everyone for your support.

The Provisions Beautification day was a huge success and we are blown away by the work that was done. We are still on cloud 9… or a (saw)dust cloud fits better? 😅 Anyhow, we are overflowing with gratitude for The Creek Church, Anabela Nunes, Pastor Matt, Amy Wolfe, Heather, and Jaime for their generous support in revitalizing our Provisions Food Pantry and Provisions Closet!! We are especially thankful to the awesome “CREW” who brought tools, purchased lumber, sanded, hammered, sawed, and stained. You guys, we had such a great time working with such a wonderful and pleasant group of people! I don’t think I’ve seen so many hand sanders and hammers and people staining all in one setting like there was . I think I can still see the clouds of sawdust from here! 🤣 We could not have executed this huge project without you. We also want to give a special shout-out to the CNC volunteers! They worked extra long hours to ensure Provisions Food Pantry is ready to serve the community this Wednesday. Special thanks to CNC’s Sherrie Thomas for her unwavering dedication and commitment to connecting CNC with the local businesses, Whitley Dumas for her passion and creativity for designing the shirts, taking photos, and her passion to create a welcoming atmosphere for Provisions Clothing guests, and Lynne Moreno and her son, Abraham for their support. Thank you to EVERY person who showed up and put in WORK yesterday. Our hearts are full and God gets ALL of the glory. He is the reason we have a Provisions Food Pantry and Closet to begin with. Without HIS provision for us, absolutely NONE of this would have been possible - not the pantry, not the closet, not the community and connections, or CNC as a whole. Without God the vision would not have been planted in the founders heart and we would not have the resources or finances to support our local community in the capacity that we do now. Praise the Lord for HIS provisions and His love for his people!
