Our final speaking engagement — the fourth in a whirlwind 24-hour circuit in East London.🐾✨

The little white wolf and I showed up (and yes… I brought out one of my favourite 'almost-vintage' dresses from @rufftung 💃).

Around 100 incredible humans joined us for a Friday evening of drinks, snacks and storytelling. What a way to close out this chapter.

We were welcomed by @sherymeyer, followed by a powerful contribution from Lidia Pretorius of @disabilitymojo - a Disability Coach who has worked in the disability space for over 40 years and played an important role in my own journey.

I then shared our story and our experience of walking the @wildchildafrica Pondo Trail with a room that was engaged and deeply generous.

A heartfelt thank you to Mandy at @lord_selborne_guesthouse for so generously offering her venue and team, and to those who donated magnums of champagne and red wine that were auctioned on the night to such an enthusiastic crowd.

Lush greenery, beautiful flowers and labradors… labrador biscuits brought by a guest from @sugar_dot_com where among many thoughtful touches! 🐶

This was community at its very best. Kind, open-hearted people coming together with purpose.

To the terrific trio — Sheryle, Maree and Mandy — thank you for creating something truly special. What a dream team you are!💗

And to everyone who joined us and contributed to our Paws on the Path fundraising campaign for @sa_guide_dogs— we are so grateful. 💛🐾

I'm wearing one of my Ruff Tung dresses from the archive - one shoulder exposed and to the floor with an abstract black, blue and white splotchy pattern. I have my hand on my hip with a big smile!

A STANDING OVATION from 900 teenage girls… wow, wow, wow. 🐾✨

Our next stop — Clarendon Girls High School where we were hosted by the deputy head, Kelvin Herman.

A packed hall, powerful energy, and a room filled with the next generation of wonder women. This session shifted slightly. More questions, more curiosity, more depth.

“How do you dream?”
“How do you shop for your clothes?”
“How do you know what you’re wearing?”

Thoughtful, honest, brilliant questions that made for such a meaningful exchange. I was blown away by the engagement and the openness in that room.

It was an absolute honour to stand in front of you all.💗

You were awesome, Clarendon Girls. May you always stay curious and ask bold questions.

A huge heart full of thanks and much gratitude to both the @clarendon_high and @clarendonprimaryschool for the incredible donations raised for our Paws on the Path fundraising campaign for the @sa_guide_dogs. 🐶✨

Jaydee and I walked into our first ever school speaking engagement — and 250 happy, smiling kids reminded us exactly why we do this. 🐾✨️

We kicked off the day at @merrifield_college with a hall full of curiosity and big smiles. From the moment we walked in, we felt the warmth and interest in our story.

This session had a more educational focus debunking myths about blindness and showing what it feels like to move through the world with a guide dog, and hopefully opening a few young minds along the way.

My wingman @suz.at.slice and I wore our signature campaign T-shirts, pink shorts… and one little white wolf held the room like a pro.🦮

There’s something incredibly special about engaging with little people. We loved every minute.

Thank you Merrifield Preparatory School for showing us so much love. We are so grateful for your generous support of our fundraising campaign for @sa_guide_dogs. 🩵💗

@sherymeyer #pawsonthepath #guidedog #saguidedogs #disabilitypositivity I love this happy and vibrant pic of my guide dog Jaydee and I standing on stage in the Merrifield Preparatory School Hall, we are facing the camera with our backs to the hall - behind us are about 250 junior school pupils and teachers with their hands in the air.

What a way to begin our East London chapter. 🐾✨

A daytime café magically transformed into an intimate dinner venue for 44 people, generously supplied by the East London Eye Centre — and what a special evening it turned out to be.

Guests were treated to a beautiful four-course meal inspired by the @wildchildafrica Pondo Trail, setting the tone for a night of connection, curiosity and shared stories.

Thank you to Sheryle Meyer @sherymeyer for such a thoughtful welcome and for bringing this incredible group of wonderful people together.  I had the privilege of sharing my story followed by questions, conversation and a room filled with warmth and genuine interest.

I wore one of my favourite dresses from @vintageandthecity_ and walked away with new friendships and unexpected connections.

Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, Doctors, specialists, supporters… and moments that felt meant to be.

A particularly special connection with Carlien @carlienbuss, whose sister is blind from the same eye disease as me on her own guide dog journey, and @juliawatty — proof that the world is sometimes wonderfully small.

To everyone who joined us — thank you for your openness, your curiosity, and your generous support of Paws on the Path fundraising campaign for @sa_guide_dogs.

And it was also so wonderful to meet Fouche du Raan @fouche880 from @execuspecs_sa who generously sponsored my flight.

East London, you’ve made us feel so welcome. 💛🐶

Jaydee, @suz.at.slice and I are heading into a packed 24 hours of purpose, connection and a whole lot of heart.

– Dinner for 30 at The Eye Centre East London

Every ticket, every conversation, every room — all in support of our Paws on the Path fundraising campaign  for the @sa_guide_dogs.

A very special shoutout to @sherymeyer — the absolute gem of a human who reached out after seeing our Pondo Trail journey and made this collaboration happen. Proof that one message can spark something much bigger.
