MX. So Baltimore Eagle taught me a lot this past year, but more than anything, I really enjoyed the process of building something that could give back to Baltimore drag in my own way.

I wanted MX. to be more than getting on stage, competing, and going home. I wanted artists to have a place to experiment, receive real feedback, get paid, meet other people in our community, and leave with something they could continue to use. That's why every winner also received a free AAVE Studios photoshoot and professional images to help document and promote their work.

To me, being part of drag isn't just about taking bookings. It's also about giving back to the community that gives us a place to perform, create, grow, and be seen. MX. became one of the ways I could do that in my own special way.

Over 8 competitions, we had 70 performers compete, 16 guest judges, 8 winners, $1,600 in cash prizes, and 8 winner photoshoots.

Thank you to every artist who competed, every judge who shared their time and perspective, The Baltimore Eagle for giving us a home, and everybody who came out, watched, shared, supported, or cheered somebody on.

Season 1 taught me a lot about what MX. can be, and I'm excited to take everything I learned and keep building from here.

The competition is the format. Artist development is the goal.
