Nobody warns you that opening your own practice secretly means becoming a one-woman content studio at times (except when @shethinks.digital steps in). I went to medical school for THIS?? 😂 Some days I feel less like a physician and more like an amateur social media manager (and occasional TikTok dancer) who also just happens to know how to read labs. One minute I’m reviewing someone’s hormone panel or InBody results, the next I’m laying across my reception area sofa trying to get good lighting and sunlight for a reel talking to my phone while its propped up against my water bottle. I’ve literally re-recorded the same 15-second hook SEVEN times because I kept saying “ummm” and fumbling over words. I’ve filmed in scrubs (sometimes only the top 🤫 😆), white coat on, white coat off, in my car, in a bathroom with good lighting because that was the only quiet room. My ring light/tripod thingie has seen things. 👀 A whole bloopers reel! But honestly? It’s worth it. Because every time I post something explaining what nobody explained to YOU like why your labs were “normal” but you still feel like trash, why you were handed an anxiety pill instead of an actual answer, there is one woman who finds it at 2am hot, sweaty, mid-spiral, up to pee for the third time, googling their symptoms. And they realize: “oh…This BS is real. And it has a name?!? I’m not going crazy? Someone gets it.” So I’ll keep being awkward on camera, sometimes with a filter, sometimes not, if it means one more person feels seen. When those whispers of “not enough” started creeping in as I was asked to speak, I felt every doubt imaginable.
