She Thrives Cincinnati in Hamilton, OH was one for the books. The women in that room came ready. They were engaged, generous with each other, and leaned all the way in. You could feel the connections forming in real time. I led The Scalable Business Blueprint, and watching women at every stage, from dreaming to scaling, work through it together at their tables was a highlight for me. Every founder walked away knowing what needs to be in place to grow successfully: a solid foundation, the right structure, and the protections that let a company grow with confidence. Because the goal is not just to launch. It is to build something you can scale, and one day, sell on your terms. Executive coach Dr. Alicia Williamson, DSW, LSW led us through building your personal board of directors. Her message stayed with me: your board should evolve as you evolve. Not everyone gets a permanent seat at your table, and that is part of growth. So here is the question she left us with. Does your board have all five? A Safe Person A Strategist A Truth Teller A Coach A Door Opener If a seat is empty, that is your next intentional relationship. Gratitude to the people who made this happen: Dawn Anderson-Thurmond, Kristina Saurber, and Carrita A. Hightower, PhD thank you for opening your networks and filling the room with remarkable women. Stephanie Hildreth my COO, thank you for helping bring every detail together. Jim Curtis and First Financial Bank Hamilton, thank you for hosting us. The community room was beautiful and the perfect space for this conversation. @billiondollarbrows and @homeinncandle, thank you for sponsoring and for the beautiful merch. @natalieplain and Cynthia Gavin, the women loved every piece, and it made the day feel special from the moment they walked in. Hamilton and Cincinnati, you showed up. Thank you. She Thrives will definitely be back! ❤️ #SheThrives #SheThrivesLive #WomenFounders #WomenInBusiness Cincinnati HamiltonOhio

She Thrives Memphis was absolutely fabulous. 💜 The women in that room came ready to work and left with exactly what they came for: a blueprint for building a business designed to scale and sell. I opened with The Scalable Business Blueprint. Then our panel, The Blueprint in Motion: Real Women, Real Businesses, Real Results, showed what it looks like in practice. Porsha Goodman, Briggette Green, and Keneisha Fountain, thank you for sharing how you’ve built million dollar organizations and turning strategy into proof. ✨ Two messages that stayed with me: 💬 ”During your event I made connections that I intend to nurture and maintain. I made the connections because of you.” — Toni Pratcher 💬 ”I didn’t even realize I could build my business with the goal to sell it... that didn’t occur to me.” That’s why I built this series. When women gather with intention, we build more than businesses. We build each other. To my Memphis village, thank you for opening doors, filling the room, and pouring into this like it was your own. I couldn’t have done it without you. 🙏🏾 Thank you to our sponsors, @billiondollarbrows Billion Dollar Beauty led by @natalieplain Natalie Plain and @homeinncandle led by Cynthia Gavin. The gifts were stunning! 🎁🕯️ And to my fractional COO, Stephanie Hildreth, thank you for making it all happen. The tour continues. There’s a seat for you: 📍 Cincinnati | Saturday, October 3 📍 Washington, DC | Saturday, October 10 🎟️ Tickets at link in bio. #SheThrivesLive #SheThrivesMemphis #WomenFounders #BlackWomenInBusiness #MemphisWomen

Okay but has anyone else’s scalp ever staged a full protest after a braiding appointment? 🙋🏾‍♀️😩 New episode alert! This week on @shethrivesrcw She Thrives with Rhonda Coleman, I’m talking with Jannice Newson — environmental scientist turned founder and CEO of Lillian Augusta Beauty @hairwithoutharm , one of the few companies making plant-based braiding hair. Real talk: so many of us have dealt with the itching, the burning, the “why does my scalp feel like it’s on fire” moment after getting braids. Jannice felt that same frustration — and instead of just dealing with it, she built a healthier alternative from scratch. No science background in beauty, no roadmap, just a problem she was determined to solve for herself and every other woman tired of choosing between style and comfort. We get into all of it: 🌱 How her personal (and painful) frustration turned into a business 🌱 Why the best pivots happen where your expertise meets your real life 🌱 Finding the right advisors instead of trying to figure it all out alone 🌱 Fundraising and building with limited capital, no sugarcoating 🌱 Why ambitious women need to stop counting themselves out before they even ask If you’ve ever loved a protective style but hated what it did to your scalp — this episode is for you. 🎧 New episode is live now, wherever you listen — including on the @alivepodcastapp Alive Podcast Network, which She Thrives just joined! Feeling overwhelmed as a woman founder? Here’s the truth: most of us work harder but not smarter. If you’re constantly stuck doing things yourself, you’re not alone. The real game-changer? Delegation. Not just knowing you should delegate — but actually making it happen. Many founders say, “It’s faster if I do it myself,” but deep down, the problem is a system that makes handing things off easy. Once you build that system, overwhelm shifts. Your work becomes focused on what truly moves the needle, not busywork. Worth trying? What’s your biggest delegation struggle right now? Let’s talk about how to make it simpler. #FounderJourney #DelegateToGrow #WomenInBusiness #StartupTips #BusinessHacks SheThrivesRCW

Ready to build a billion-dollar brand? Here’s the secret: It all started with one idea and a whole lot of stubbornness. Most entrepreneurs think success comes from overnight fame — but it’s really about brick-by-brick moments, resilience, and protecting your IP. Natalie’s story of creating a billion-dollar brand isn’t just about products, it’s about mindset, protection, and a long-term vision. So ask yourself: Are you truly protecting what’s yours? Or are you leaving money and legacy on the table. Remember, your story is your power. Share it, protect it, and keep building. 🎾✨ What if sports could change the trajectory of a little girl’s entire life? That’s exactly what this week’s She Thrives @shethrivesrcw guest @jasminenminor Jasmine Minor is building — and this conversation stopped me in my tracks. Jasmine is a 3x Emmy Award-winning journalist, ABC 7 Chicago anchor, former Division I tennis player — and a woman who decided her platform was bigger than a broadcast. She’s using sport to develop the next generation of women business leaders. Because the discipline, the resilience, the strategy you learn on the court? That’s the same energy that builds empires. This episode is about living your purpose out loud. Creating a world that’s better — not just for you, but for the girls coming up behind you. And she’s putting action behind the vision. 🥂 The @therisesocietyco Rise Society Affair — a Wimbledon-inspired gala featuring a fireside chat with Robin Roberts — is happening May 28th, 6–10pm at 167 N. Green St, Chicago. Every ticket supports the Kevin Minor Legacy Fund and the next generation of female athletes turned leaders. Get your tickets at luma.com/theriseaffair 🎟️ This is what purpose looks like in motion. Don’t miss it. 🎙️ #SheThrives #JasmineMinor #TheRiseSociety #WomenInSport #WomenInBusiness Chicago HappyWomenLeadStrong RCWStrategies

There comes a moment when what once fit… no longer does. And the real question becomes: Do you stay where you’ve outgrown yourself—or do you trust that there’s something more? On this episode of She Thrives with Rhonda Coleman Wandel, Samantha Dockery of @loveluvv_sparkling shares how she walked away from a 13-year career and built something entirely her own—a sparkling wine brand rooted in celebration, purpose, and impact. Fear doesn’t disappear just because you’re capable. You can have the experience. The vision. The strategy. The support system. And still feel afraid. That’s something more women need to hear. In entrepreneurship especially, there’s this pressure to look completely certain all the time. But the truth is, many of the most successful women you admire are building while navigating uncertainty in real time. The goal isn’t to eliminate fear before you move. It’s to stop letting fear make the decision for you. “Do it afraid” doesn’t mean reckless. It means informed. Supported. Thoughtful. It means trusting yourself enough to begin before you feel fully ready. Because confidence is rarely what comes first. Action is. And sometimes the moment you finally say your dream out loud is the very thing that forces you to rise into it. What’s one thing you’d do if you stopped waiting to feel completely ready? One of the shifts that changes how you move in your career? Understanding that not all support is the same. A manager is focused on execution.A coach helps you think more clearly.A mentor helps you see further. When you know the difference, you stop expecting one person to be everything — and you start building the right kind of support around you. The women who lead well aren’t navigating this alone. They’re intentional about who they bring into their world and how those people shape the way they think, decide, and grow. Because leadership isn’t just about capability. It’s about perspective. And when you’re supported in the right ways, everything sharpens — your clarity, your confidence, your direction. Take a moment — where could the right kind of support elevate how you’re leading right now?Share in the comments if it resonates. Transitions rarely arrive with a clear roadmap. More often, they start with a quiet realization:something isn’t working anymore. You might not know what comes next. You might only know what no longer fits. In this moment from my conversation with Natalia Ombach, we talk honestly about what that in-between season can feel like — messy, uncertain, and sometimes uncomfortable. But it’s also where clarity slowly begins to form. Real transitions take time. They require trying things, learning, adjusting, and trusting yourself along the way. Sometimes the first step forward is simply admitting:“I don’t want this anymore.” And that awareness alone can change everything. 🎧 Press play for this clip and tune into my full conversation with Natalia Ombach on She Thrives with Rhonda Coleman Wandel — available on your favorite podcast app. #shethrivesrcw #womenleadership #careertransitions #womenwholead
