A HUGE achievement for the mum of TWM - Shez🫶🏼✨

Always happy to lend a hand, forever cheering on her fellow mates and bringing the most supportive and encouraging energy to our community. Shez is the kind of person who makes TWM feel like family, and we’re so lucky to have her as part of it🥹💪🏼

500 sessions is an incredible milestone and we couldn’t be prouder of you, Shez! Thank you for being YOU, for the constant support you give others, and for helping make our community what it is🤍

On Saturday November the 11th the TWM community will UNITE again to partake in the TWM STRIDE4STROKE FUN RUN 4.0 - raising awareness & funds for stroke survivors.

We aim to RUN/WALK 4, 7, 14, 21 or 28KM along the Kingston/Bayside coastline. Bec Maitland was 28 when she had her stroke & has since faced many battles both mental and physical that many people wouldn’t quite understand are involved in recovering from a stroke - she is a superstar and is our inspiration amongst all the other thousands of stroke survivors in Australia ❤️

We want more people to be educated in stroke awareness and show greater kindness and empathy towards those who are disadvantaged.

We can do this by raising awareness and vital funds for the Stroke Foundation.

Most people would know someone who has been affected or lost their life due to stroke so let’s do this for them.

12% of people say they won’t have exercised this week. One million strokes a year globally are linked to physical inactivity. One of the things we can do to reduce our risk of stroke, or secondary stroke, is to keep ACTIVE - so let’s set some goals, overcome the winter blues and get training for this awesome event 🙏

If you feel comfortable please like, comment and share this post so that we can spread the much needed togetherness and community spirit 👊👊👊

More info to come soon…. But ✏️ this one in the diary.

TS4A assists socioeconomically disadvantaged kids aged 5 -18 to participate in club sport within their community.

These kids are from the most vulnerable and marginalised parts of our society, and they live in your community. Participation in team sports is a critical circuit breaker for these kids. It helps them engage with positive role models and be socially included with a diverse range
of the community, leading to better health and education outcomes.

TS4A provides financial support for these children to play sport - we cover registration fees, equipment and uniform costs. We also provide regular ongoing support via our volunteer sports mentors to encourage long term participation in sport.
