Because when a whale holds your eye, something you've carried for years stops being heavy. Applications for 2027 are open. Almost nobody books this simply because they want to see a whale. A lot of us arrive in Mo'orea in the middle of something. A loss. A separation. A body that struggles. A year that took more than it gave. Somewhere in there the whales start calling, and at some point this call gets loud enough to answer. Whales don't perform for you. They work on you. You're floating, breathing, small, and something loosens. People cry out there and can't always say why. Nobody on my our finds that strange. So the week is built around that. Longer expeditions then anyone in Mo'orea. Some mornings on the water, some afternoons, some full days. Around that you're free - the waterfalls, the road around the island, a nap, an afternoon at the pool staring at the mountains while your nervous system catches up. That space is on purpose. Six people in the water with a whale is the legal limit in French Polynesia, and two of those six are me and my co-host @szabi_nemeth We never chase. We slip in quietly and let the whales decide - sometimes they are gone in thirty seconds, sometimes they stay an hour and you forget everything around you. Later in the season it's mothers and calves, and that's a different kind of quiet altogether. Optionally and fully up to your interests we can work on your photography all week together as well. Bring a camera or borrow one of ours. Derek arrived this year a little nervous about the open ocean, the boat rides and waves. Turns out he's an ocean baby after all. He picked up an underwater camera setup for the first time. You never know which perspective Mo'orea is going to hand you. A transformation like this doesn't happen in a few hours on a full schedule. It happens with room. To explore, play, learn, integrate. To rest and digest. So we can go out there again - hungry for more. Four weeks, August to October. By application - because the right four people are the entire trip. You don't have to be ready yet. You just have to come. Application link in bio 🐋 📸 @sina.ritter
