For the first time, USC’s IYA, Marshall, and Viterbi entrepreneurship communities came together in one space.

355 attendees.
54 USC communities.
1,226 connections...and growing.

Instead of just exchanging contact info, we made the connections visible.
🪪 Everyone registered an NFT card
🔗 Cards connected as people met throughout the event
🗺️ Together, those connections created a live map of USC’s entrepreneurial ecosystem

Students.
Alumni.
Founders.
Builders.
Researchers.
Creatives.
One very connected USC.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, connected with someone new, and helped us map what happens when USC’s entrepreneurial communities come together.

Fight On!

What a year! ✨

Project SafeWeb wrapped up the academic year in May, and it was truly transformative in so many ways!

We spoke on panels and tabled at a conference to build visibility, but the hallmark of our work was hosting digital safety events across California. In partnership with CARE offices at universities and colleges across the state, we taught students digital safety skills in the age of cyber trafficking at USC, East Los Angeles College, UCLA, CSUMB, UC Berkeley, City College of San Francisco, Pasadena City College, and UC Merced. Through this work, we reached over 300 students and received incredibly positive feedback.

We also began sharing educational content on cyber privacy laws in the U.S. and continued our #safetysunday campaign, publishing over 50 educational posts.

To make our programming more accessible, we developed and tested an online curriculum that can be used beyond our in-person events.

Finally, we completed production on a documentary raising awareness about cyber trafficking and digital abuse, which we will be premiering soon!

We are incredibly grateful to all of the campuses that partnered with us, as well as our amazing organizational partners, for helping make this work possible.

We are just getting started, and we are so excited for this next chapter as we continue working to help young people feel safer online. 💙
