YOGA LIFE 🌸so beautiful to see our regular practitioner Shigeig practicing 2-3 times a week throughout her first pregnancy. She is certainly glowing after class today!

Shigeig has been practicing Bikram Hot Yoga for 11 years and is now 8.5 months into her pregnancy. She went to her doctor when she first found out she was pregnant to ask what she could do for exercise, and they said that she could continue what she was doing before, but with modifications. So she has continued regularly since her second trimester.

She has incorporated the modifications for some of the postures and made sure she gets enough ventilation during class by going to a cooler part of the room, but is loving the practice for keeping her balanced and healthy.

✨if you find out you are pregnant and have been a regular practitioner, then we recommend not to practice during your first trimester, but after that it is fine. Work with your teachers as they can give you posture changes for any forward compressions and savasana and help keep you safe and happy.

Yoga is a beautiful journey that flows through our lives along all stages and at each stage it is a growing and learning experience. Embrace it all!

Two things I talk about a lot are:
1. Define success on your own terms
2. Celebrate your wins (big and small)

So, I'm gonna practice what I preach here in honoring that in the past few weeks, I hit 1,000 followers on IG without paying for a single one of them.

Sure, I've had it in my mind on more than one occasion that I want to hit a certain number of followers. But my REAL goal - had nothing to do with that.

🪄 My REAL goal is to ignite a corporate culture revolution.
🪄 My REAL goal is to reach as many people as I can in helping them on their path to being their authentic self and living unapologetically from that place.

Truth be told - what this looks like is infinite in possibility. Maybe it's IG followers, maybe it's not.

🦉What I celebrate is that with my content I am reaching more people!
🦉With my voice and honoring my unique perspective I AM powerful. I AM successful. I AM on my path.

And if that shows up as 1,000 followers then heck yea, I'm gonna celebrate this as a win!!

Something else I don't talk a lot about, but is embedded in my practice is GRATITUDE. 🙏

So let me do that now - to my tribe out there - all my followers THANK YOU!
🦉Thank you, not just for your support in what I have to say but for the work YOU are doing each and every day to be your authentic self.
🦉Thank you for doing the most important work of your life, that rarely gets the accolades it deserves. You doing your inner work means that your entire tribe, your community and all of those in your orbit are better off as a result.
🦉 Thank you to my interns, freelance support and friends who have been critical in the creation of my content!

Here we are at 1,000. THANK YOU.
I'm just getting started!!

🔥🔥🔥

Spectacular turn out for our January book club. We had a yummy Sunday Roast at @therisingsunec4 & also had a book swap which is always fun!

The book of the month was How to Kill Your Family by @mackie_bella

So what did our members think of the book? Well, we did not like any of the characters. But would we recommend the book? Certainly YES!
