Hi Titans!

My name is Shine Aung, and I’m a third-year #Biology major concentrating in Cell and Molecular Biology in the College of Natural Sciences and #Mathematics.

As a dedicated and involved member of our #CSUF community, I bring leadership, research experience, and service to everything I do. For the past year, I have been involved in campus-based genetic research, gaining hands-on laboratory experience, and strengthening my commitment to academic excellence and scientific inquiry. As an RCP Scholar, I developed essential research laboratory techniques and built a strong foundation in experimental design and scientific analysis. Actively involved as a member of PACT, I have participated in meaningful volunteer opportunities that have allowed me to give back to the community.

Outside of research and campus involvement, I also work as a Mobile Phlebotomist, where I travel to various healthcare facilities to perform venipuncture, collect blood specimens, and ensure accurate labeling and handling for laboratory testing. This role requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and the ability to provide compassionate care to patients in diverse clinical settings.

As a BOD of NSM, I plan to…
-Advocate for expanding course availability so students have a fair chance to enroll in the classes they need.
-Advocate for more CNSM-specific career fairs to give students more opportunities to connect with employers, research programs, and graduate schools, since CNSM currently has fewer career events than other colleges.

Furthermore, a vote for the #EveryTitanCounts Slate means championing the three eve-ssentials: Student Health, Campus Efficiency, and Real Community. Through leadership, service, and real-world healthcare experience, I am committed to representing YOU and advocating for our community with integrity and purpose. Vote for our #ASI slate on March 10 + 11th. 🗳️

This Sunday, we had the honor of hosting our annual Holiday Party for the kids of No Limits Creative Arts & Center for Autism. From crafts to games, dancing, and singing, the gentlemen of Sigma Pi had a blast and the smiles said it all.🎅🏼🎄

Huge shoutout to our brothers @jack.nunan and @lukspencer_ for organizing such an incredible event. Special thanks to Carla Hutchinson, Director of No Limits Creative Arts, and Dr. Erica Howell for their continued support and collaboration. Already looking forward to our Holiday Party next year!
