After a ten year hiatus, the Bahia de Banderas has called me back! Many formative experiences of my late teens and twenties happened on this Emerald Coast. It has been such a rejuvenating experience to return here remembering all the years I travelled here from Alaska, and to create moments of deep transformation with new friends! #xinalani #yogaretreat #holyshift

Our first ever FREEDOM & FLOW Body Wisdom Retreat was an amazing weekend of learning, sharing and relaxing with an incredible group of people in the Sacred Valley of Cusco in Peru! Somatic movement and breath awareness training surrounded by the beauty and magic of the Andes. Delicious and healthy Andean cuisine prepared by one of our favourite local chefs. Not a bad way to spend a weekend. Thank you to an amazing group of friends who made our retreat so special. Stay tuned for upcoming Freedom & Flow Retreats as well as other future Suave Fuerza events! 🙏🏽✨🧘🏽‍♀️💖 #freedomandflow #bodywisdom #breathawareness #suavefuerza #cuscoperu #retreats #sacredvalley #mindbodyconnection #exploringcreatingguiding #modernminimalmystical #disconnectreconnect

Shane has been a martial arts instructor for the last 25 years, using his acquired knowledge of various forms as a vehicle for healing, change, and self-discovery. These days, Shane's teachings are primarily based around the Russian martial art, Systema - a non-competitive practice with an emphasis on intentional breath, fluid movement, and body awareness. While living in Peru, he co-founded Suave Fuerza which has become Cusco’s premier martial arts school. He was also a plant medicine retreat facilitator at the Temple of the Way of Light in Iquitos - providing support to large groups of individuals going through challenging processes. A creative designer and illustrator by trade, Shane was a digital nomad before most people knew what that was, having left his home in Australia to immerse himself in the natural world and local cultures of Peru, India, Japan and beyond. His clients are reflective of his global lifestyle, located all over the world from Europe to the Americas, and fall within the wellness and lifestyle spaces that are in alignment with his own core values. He and his wife Marianne make up the design and wellness team of Shine & Humm. The blog about their journey on their website shineandhumm.com.

Love is the ultimate outlaw. It just won’t adhere to any rules... Instead of vowing to honour and obey, maybe we should swear to aid and abet. That would mean security is out of the question. The words Make and Stay become inappropriate. My love for you has no strings attached. I love you for free. ~Still Life with Woodpecker (Tom Robbins)

First of all Tom Robbins is one of the wisest trippiest dudiest dudes out there. Read this book if you haven’t already!

Secondly... these wise words were true when we started our journey together in Toronto 12 years ago, true when we chose them as our vows in Peru 6 years ago, and still true today.
Happy anniversary to these old time vagabonds who continue to aid and abet each other around the world and in all aspects of life 🥳🌏💖🤪💃🏻🕺🏼 #shineandhumm #thejourneycontinues #partnersineverything

Shane taking us off the beaten track. As per usual. I just take photos of his back as I try to keep up. And I’m never really sure where we’re going. But I guess that’s part of the adventure 😕😉😎#letsgoforawalkhesaid #beachwalk #morningtonpeninsula #australia #nomadcouple #stayandwander #nomadlife #slowtravel #lifeofadventure #lifeabroad #lifeunplugged #naturelovers #neverstopexploring #nomadcouple #slowliving #slowtravel #travelzen #worklifebalance
