While there are so many problems in the world today — and I couldn’t be more proud of everyone taking to the streets, protesting peacefully, and standing up for equal rights — I feel the need to recognize and also celebrate some of what is good. Creativity, self-expression, learning and community is so much of what pottery has been about for me for the past decade. I look at and learn from the work of artists from around the world, who practice different religions, sexual orientations, and whose skin tones vary like the color of the clay we work with. And today, I celebrate this work by @ceramistbamboo.
