This Saturday Ownsound is celebrating 3 years with you all.

To celebrate, we’re hosting a 15-hour party at Lucky Coq from 12PM–3AM.

We cant wait to welcome you all to our day into night party, covering the full spectrum of the Ownsound sound, through DJs that have played for us since Feb 2023.

This party marks a special milestone of the Ownsound community, which has grown steadily over the last 3 years and what’s in store is setting the tone for what’s to come.

Drop in early, stay late, or do the whole shift. Our main objective is for you all to support our DJs who have played for us throughout the whole Ownsound journey

What a day at @luckycoq on Saturday! 🙌🏻

Huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the bop 🙏🏻

Despite the weather being a bit iffy we set up shop in the courtyard for a solid day of house music. The vibe was spot on, the tunes were quality, the venue were awesome - we’re very happy to be here in Melbourne 🫶🏻

@shkript - we can’t wait to hear the hidden gems this man pulls out of the record bag for our day party next week! 🙌🏻

——

Shkript is the leading hand of the team behind the Féin, a small DIY Festival which has hosted a great community of Melbourne DJs and musicians.

Having always played music, 6 years ago he became extremely interested in creating music with hardware. He began his electronic music journey in the realm of mostly hardware based production and occasional Live Sets.

Shkript has spent the last few years sharpening his sound through intensive digging and DJing. His sound can be characterised by low slung baselines, the amalgamation between heavy house rhythms and uplifting synth melodies, with influences of UK Garage and breakbeat sprinkled throughout.
