Get to know Ashley Kirkpatrick, MS, LAC ✨

Around here, we believe finding the right therapist is about more than credentials and modalities.

You also want to know: Do I actually like this human? Could I sit across from her and talk about the weird, vulnerable, complicated parts of my life?

So, a few things about Ash:

She lifts heavy things for fun.
She climbs things for fun.
She hikes Arizona because apparently regular walking isn’t enough. 😂
She’s raising two teenage boys.
She’s a former Mormon with a strong preference for matcha over coffee.
She can skate, party, adventure, and generally seems determined to keep getting cooler.

And somewhere in between all of that, she’s also doing advanced training in sex therapy and has become our resident “can we PLEASE talk about sex like normal human beings?” person. 🙌

Clinically, Ashley brings warmth, curiosity, humor, and zero interest in shaming people for being human.

She especially loves working with clients navigating religious trauma + faith transitions, men’s mental health, relationships, intimacy, sexuality, identity, and major life transitions.

Basically: she’s smart, grounded, adventurous, deeply human… and exactly the kind of therapist who represents our values at Inner Compass. 🤎

I’ve been reliving the @mormonmentalhealthassoc conference over and over again. The connections I made. The therapists I’ve admired from afar and finally got to meet. The incredible wisdom that was shared. The divine timing of being in SLC and having the opportunity to go on @thejessconnection podcast. I’m in awe of all of it.

In recovery from a few months of planning and a few days of executing. It was such a fun experience to be part of the conference committee this year, to see @shley.does.therapy spread her amazing wings and present like the psychotherapist rockstar she is, and to reconnect with so many of my favorite Utah humans. I can’t wait to get back to work and apply all the amazing things we learned. Already looking forward to next year. 🙏🏼
