Back on a little scouting mission to a location that I hadn’t visited in quite a few years, so this nights return felt extra special. Sometimes the plan is just to check a location, and the sky rewards you for showing up. Even better: I got to chat with a few photographers visiting from Germany, who were shooting film, and ran into an old student and her friend. It’s always the people you meet, not just the view, that makes these nights memorable. For this shot I did some focus stacking and exposure stacking, which with complex scenes is no joke, putting it all together was more of a challenge than expected, but the result was well worth it.
