When I’m on my deathbed on a random Tuesday 50 years from now, I hope I have a little more to talk about than all the reps I did and all the broccoli I ate.

…which is a lot, if we’re being honest 😂

This past week was the first real time off I’ve taken all year.

And after the last couple months of what feels like nonstop hospital visits and doctor’s appointments, my body, brain, and spirit needed a little recharge.

So I went into my first Philly staycation with a pretty awesome checklist:

- Read a book
- Get a massage / day spa
- Go out to a nice dinner
- Grab a nice breakfast
- See a show
- Go to the Philadelphia Museum of Art
- Go hiking with Charley for the day
- Workout
- Go climbing one day
- Have a nice glass of wine and say “Ouuu that’s a nice glass of wine”
- Find a gluten free / dairy free bakery in the city
- Visit Longwood Gardens
- Walk around Old City and go shopping
- Buy a new plant / flower

I’m very happy to say I pretty much nailed it all, and very sad to say I never made it to the climbing gym.

It was nice to touch a little grass this week.

The next time, I won’t wait so long to do it again.

Art & Design District,
we did it again! We came together as a community and created a memorable day.
We brought the creative energy back to the neighborhood!

Art, design, craft, music, workshops, happy neighbors, curious passersby, kind weather, wonder and inspiration.
Just people spending a Saturday outside, enjoying a moment of being in the middle of the street. together.
It felt really special to see this little piece of the city like that.

Friday night we are doing a cider and cheese pairing class because that is exactly the kind of thing you do not know you need until you are in it. Saturday we sculpt, sip, and somehow end up on the water for house music because Philly does not miss. And Sunday we start with our Sunday Social Walk and end with a paint and sip because the weekend deserves a proper closing.
