Investing in Black women is investing in vision, resilience, & unstoppable impact. ✨ So Goldman Sachs got it right 🫡 @goldmansachs 24 hours ago, our business was vandalized… and yes, it’s a minor setback but we remain UNMOVED‼️ We won’t lose faith. We’re staying grounded, protecting our energy, and keeping our mindset aligned. The goal is still the goal 😏 When you move with purpose, even setbacks become setups. 🏀 💨 God is already revealing the next step. And we’re walking in it boldly. 💫 Because this isn’t just a business… it’s a calling. Thank you to everyone who poured into 💐 @kiiy_is_winning over the past 24 hours dealing with this nonsense 🧿 It’s times like this when GOD reveals who’s truly in your corner, I’m proud of my tribe & the community we’ve built. 🥹🤗 Day 1: ✅ Success 🥸 , absolute out of body experience to be in a room full of powerful sister-preneurs , like omg 😍 over 2 million dollars in that room ‼️ _______________last but not least _______________ 🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫 🗣️MESSAGE to the degenerate c*ck-s*cker that broke our window , that last slide is for you. 35K people have visited our page in the last 2 weeks. So we get it, you’re clearly watching. Now you’re going to have to watch me W I N. You touched one of GOD’s children, wrong decision, you will be cursed, weirdo. 🐍 watch 😈 • • #wontbreakme #goldmansachs #staythirsty #ombwblackinbiz #supportblackownedbusinesses

Most brands & founders think edge comes from more reach, better visuals or finally “nailing” the aesthetic.
That’s why the first instinct is always:
post more, refresh the brand, redo the website, upgrade the look.
But when you actually study brands with cult followings, the ones that sell out, fill waitlists, and get talked about without trying : reach and visuals aren’t the common denominator.
Edge isn’t what gets you seen.
It’s what makes people stop looking.
In psychology, people don’t commit because something is better.
They commit when something helps them define themselves.
Brands with real edge have made a few quiet decisions most founders avoid:
→ Who is this not for — and are we willing to let that be obvious?
→ What belief do we hold that the category keeps softening or avoiding?
→ What moment in someone’s life does this product actually belong to?
→ What are we willing to repeat until people associate it only with us?
We wanted to round a few brands that we love and that we think are nailing the whole brand edge thing ✨ (I wrote a deeper breakdown on brand edge on Substack — comment CULT and I’ll send it your way. It’s totally FREE btw)

It’s Tuesday and one of my favorite things about Tuesdays this year was meeting with my @blackgirlventures sisters 💜 The Emerging Leaders Fellowship was a highlight of this year for sure. Our cohort had amazing black female entrepreneurs from LA, Austin, & Chicago. I miss seeing y’all weekly and discussing our glows & grows. This program has been the catalyst to my best year in business so far. From the resources to positioning me to make bold moves in business to pouring into me when I felt like giving up. So grateful for these ladies and Wendy for bringing us together.

Made LA my office this week for the @blackgirlventures Emerging Leaders Fellowship graduation!! Over the last three months, I’ve spent time hearing from and growing with a dynamic cohort of Black women entrepreneurs from LA, Chicago, and Austin. Putting faces to names and stories has been an incredible experience. These women are so talented and passionate, they have upped my expectations and standards for myself, and challenged me to be a bolder leader. I’m so grateful for this experience, and ready to show up bigger and bolder in this new season of the work! #blackbusinessowner #chicagolifestyle #chicagononprofit
