I’ve worked in the social media space for over 20 years. I started my blog with my mom and sister back in 2004, right when my oldest son was born—and really before anyone was even using the word “blog.”
.
It was like the Wild West of the internet back then, but I carved out a niche for myself as a mom blogger and created a business that has nourished me and filled my cup (figuratively and literally) for the last 20 years.
.
As with any business—and especially social media—things evolve. As the world of social media changed and grew, I adapted and pivoted the best I could to continue growing my business and my brand. But one thing always held true: I loved what I did, and I was able to provide for my family. My kids have always been at the root of my WHY and my drive.

Three years ago, I saw the world of social media changing again, and I felt it was time to change my business model. I still love blogging five times a week, but my passion shifted more toward sharing hairstyles with my daughter, cute and fun finds for moms and kids, and affordable fashion.

LTK became the shining sun for me. I loved using the platform. I loved being part of this incredible community. And most of all, I loved where it was taking my business.
As I started sharing my LTK finds every single day, I began hearing more and more about the LTK community. I saw that they hosted a conference every year, so I inquired about signing up—only to find out it was invite-only for their top creators.
.
That was the goal and the drive I needed.
I put it on my vision board three years ago. Each year, I tried and tried and tried.
And finally, this year, my dream came true when I got my invite. ❤️

I arrived as nervous as could be because I only knew a handful of women, but it quickly became one of the most amazing, inspiring, and incredible weeks I’ve had in a long time.
.
I missed being around this kind of energy.
I missed being around this kind of camaraderie.
I missed being around the magic of a week like this.

Thank you to all the women who filled my cup—and then some. Thank you @ambervenzbox @ltk.hq @shop.ltk 🫶🏻

I never thought this would be the video I’d be posting.

Seventeen years ago, I started Bad Habit with a dream, a lot of hope, and no idea how big it would become. Today, I’m sitting in the middle of an empty warehouse, trying to find the words to say goodbye.

The last two years have been the hardest of my life — personally and professionally. Loss, exhaustion, declining sales, rising costs… and a pace that never slowed down. I spent years hustling before sunrise, after bedtime, on vacations, and in moments I can’t get back.

And at some point, Mike and I had to ask ourselves a hard question:
Is this the life we want to keep choosing?

Closing Bad Habit is heartbreaking. This brand is my bloodline. My baby. My heart.
But choosing a simpler life… choosing presence… choosing my family… feels necessary.

To every customer who supported me, every employee who poured their heart into this place, every message, every order, every memory — thank you. You built this with me.

This isn’t failure.
It’s grief, growth, and courage all wrapped into one.

Bad Habit will always be a part of me.
And while this chapter is ending, I believe something new is beginning — even if I don’t fully know what that looks like yet.

Thank you for 17 unforgettable years. 🤍
