POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

October’s Mail Club is here! Inspired by backpacking with friends on the Cottonwood Lakes trail and painting in Mono County, this month’s sticker sheet and postcard-sized art print feature Catzilla on a little outdoor adventure.

You don’t need to know the whole trail to take the first step. I hope these little pieces inspire you to start something you’ve been wanting to try.

And yes, the “peak poop experience” sticker is based on a true story. Best morning poop view of my life.

Saturday: Mom wanted to go to Portland Leather to pickup a purse she wanted, so we got up early, took the light rail (moms first time) and adventured around Pike and her old stomping grounds. She used to work in Seattle when $5 was enough to park the entire day. 😜. Visiting @dailydozendoughnut is a MUST whenever I come to @pikeplacepublicmarket in the morning. We got half a Dozen of the maple bacon and found some stunning dried bouquets. I even stumbled upon some cute artwork by @q_sketches and picked up a few pieces. When @portlandleather opened at 11, we went over and got mama her new bag and she got me a beautiful salmon charm for my backpack. We then took the light rail back to Bellevue and I went home to get edits done. I spent the rest of the day editing and watching my favorite @laikastudios movies. Kubo and the two strings, Paranorman, and Coraline.
.
Sunday: I drove up to J’s. On my way up he called to gauge when I’d arrive because he was making me a breakfast sandwich. 🥰☺️🫶. When I got there I ate the yummy sandwich (brioche bun, egg over easy, crispy bacon, and cheese). We then played a guessing game with K cuz J hadn’t told him what we were doing that day. After a few hints, he guessed right, @wastatefairec ! I hadn’t been for a LONG TIME. It was fun seeing the rides, checking out the games, and trying some food. The lines were a bit too crazy for scones, but we got a HUGE sausage (delicious), a slice of pizza, fried Oreos, and a strawberry lemonade. We then checked out the animals, petting zoo, and vendors before heading home. It was a great day.

Today I’m opening a Catzilla blind box (Seattle Edition) by @q_sketches ! 🐱🗼✨

I had the pleasure of meeting @q_sketches at DesignerCon in Pasadena this past weekend and completely fell in love with her artwork. I brought home a few prints along with this adorable Catzilla blind box and couldn’t wait to open it!

I pulled Midnight Emerald, and while I still need to test what I believe is the glow-in-the-dark effect, the figure itself is already so much fun. I especially love the giant cat pawing at the Seattle Space Needle and towering over the city skyline! In addition I love how each piece has a magnet inside to better hold onto the little platform.

It was so lovely meeting the artist in person and getting to bring home one of her creations! 💜✨

Runner up at @designercon goes to @shopcatzilla
We first met them 5 years ago at DCon. We still have the prints we bought. It has been amazing to see where they are now. So much growth.
And that’s what I noticed the most this year. So many designers pushing themselves into new avenues.
Thank you again @shopcatzilla for the inspiration! I can’t wait to incorporate this fearsome kaiju into my photos haha
