That’s a wrap on the STAY COOL PHX water drive 😎

In one month, PHX came together & collected over 328 cases of water and over 154 boxes of electrolyte packets from 29 sites across the valley 😮‼️

Thank you so much to everyone who supported the drive, to the businesses for participating, to the volunteers for helping pick up all this water every Sunday in June, and to the community organizers giving it out. 🥰

I REALLY hope this water drive inspires you to do something in your community. Often, the fear of not doing enough keeps us from doing anything at all. “Little” things like giving out frozen waters or checking on people lying on the sidewalk are BIG things…they help us co-create a community where we legitimately care about one another. I am amazed by the love and compassion surrounding me and proud of what we all pulled off.❤️

🌵 A Local’s Guide to Phoenix 🌵 Local businesses are the heart and soul of a community, and this guide is a friendly reminder to get out there and support the places you hope will be around for years to come!

It’s hot, 🥵 everyone’s leaving town (as you should! get out of here!!) but small businesses are still here every day grinding it out and trying to make the math math until the temps cool down.

We promise, it’s worth it to leave your house (even when it’s 114 degrees lol 🥴), walk into a local business, have a lovely conversation with another human, and exchange money for something that adds pleasure🍹🍕 or beauty 🎨🕯️to your life, all while knowing your $ went back into your community, not into the hands of a billionaire!

There are SO many amazing small businesses to explore in Phoenix beyond this list! We love when our customers introduce us to new spots around town, so feel free to share some of your favorites in the comments below.

We are halfway through our stay cool water drive and are running through donations quick.

So, we need water! For the rest of the month of June, you can bring water and electrolyte donations to any of the businesses mentioned in this post.

All of the donations will go to people doing direct mutual aid this summer…people like @unshelteredphx & @fnbphx who are out in the streets sharing resources with folks living outside.

So the next time you’re going to any of these amazing spots around town, can you bring a case of water.
