Y’all know I love grabbing my camera and wandering around Downtown and Campus Corner to highlight our local shops, I’ve been doing it since 2020, and it’s still one of my favorite parts of living (and selling real estate) in Stillwater. 📸

But this week, while out shooting some sneak peeks for Crazy Days @visitstillwater, I got a look at something most people never see: the work.

I stopped by the new store @shopgraceanddiane asked Diane (Rachelle) if I could snap a few photos of some items, except they weren’t even out yet. She spent the next 10 minutes pulling things and setting up shelves just so I could get the shot. Down the street, another shop had boxes stacked to the ceiling and racks staged, ready to roll out onto the sidewalks. Another had cleared their entire showroom floor - partly so shoppers have room to breathe, partly so those same racks can head straight outside.

All of that, for one weekend. All of that, for us.

Crazy Days is next week (July 15-19), and yeah, it’ll be hot and it’ll be a little chaotic downtown - but that’s kind of the point. Our local businesses are pouring hours of prep into this because they love this town as much as we do. So go shop local, eat local, and grab a drink local - not just next week, but always. Go see what Diane and everyone else worked so hard to put out for you. 🛍️👗👠💍

See you downtown. 🧡

Stillwater is full of powerhouse women entrepreneurs and I’m constantly inspired by what they’re creating. These are just a few of my favorites, and I know there are many more who deserve some love. Comment your favorite women-owned businesses below so we can all support them. Here’s to community, collaboration, and cheering each other on. Great work ladies. I’m grateful to be even a small part of this strong community.
