I saw something on someone’s story yesterday (can’t remember for the life of me who) that said “Don’t let comparisons be the thief of your joy” which I really liked. It’s easy to compare yourself/your things/your life to others, especially on social media. I haven’t shared any full photos of our living room because we still haven’t finished and it’s easy to overlook how much we have done and how great it looks compared to when we moved in.

We still have to sort the fireplace out, finish the skirting boards, get mantle, a stove and physically go sofa shopping because we got two off Facebook market place so we had something to sit on over Christmas 🤷🏼‍♀️

What I do like about this view is every time I look at how amazing the fireplace looks now Olly and his dad took it out, all I think of is the night before, celebrating getting the keys to our first house with Olly’s family, drinking ourselves silly into the hours of the morning watching YouTube videos of How to remove a fireplace and bam 😂 one of the worst hangovers of 2020 and yet they still managed to get the thing out on the first day😅
