I am beyond excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Owens Community College!

Thank you to Coach Parisho and the rest of the staff at Owens for giving me a chance to make your program better.

I would also like to thank all of my former coaches. I would not be given this opportunity if it weren't for all of you.

I am beyond thankful and can't wait to make a difference. Go Express! 🚂

“I couldn’t be more proud, because there were about three different times when we could have given up,” Collins said. “But we just kept competing, and that just says who they are, that’s their character.”

Stellar performance by @gianni.smaldino.11 in his first Varsity start for the @shoremenbats. Great defense all around held the state champ contender Amherst Steele to three runs. For special treats, scroll all the way to the end to see where it all started for Gianni.

Avon Lake @shoremenbats defeated Berea-Midpark 7-5 behind a strong outing from starting pitcher @cam_reutter8 who earned the win with 4 strikeouts over 6 innings of work. @joshbobrowski21 @alex_soloff33 and @grant.lehoty led the offense with three hits apiece. Despite injury @cole_hahn21 locked down the save with help from outstanding outfield defense by @alex_soloff33 , @alexhicov , and @tfent6 with an absolute laser from right field to cut down the tying run at home plate. The Shoremen now get a day of rest before taking on Keystone on Thursday.

The @shoremenbats rolled to a 10-2 victory over Berea behind a strong all-around performance. @bailey_thibeault09 started on the mound, striking out seven while issuing just one walk. @grant.lehoty and @alex_soloff33 each drove in a pair of runs to lead the offense. Standout defensive plays from @joshbobrowski21 , @haamilt19 and @jacob.perry__ helped keep the Shoremen firmly in control throughout the game. Clean relief appearances from @cole_hahn21 and @jj_bradley_12 helped shut the door and preserve the win. The series continues tomorrow with game two in Berea.
