This is how we’re building community. Thank you to the HBCU alumni-owned tea company @justaddhoney for partnering with Xceleader’s Vote HBCU program and @theonyximpact for our HBCU on the Beltline event. Merging nonpartisan civic engagement and HBCU culture is what we do. Last week brought so much excitement and joy ahead of the upcoming 2026 midterms.

What an incredible day at the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office Back-to-School Bash! 💙⚾📚

Today was all about community love. While we love our athletes, being able to fill bags and serve families is truly our ultimate mission. Every conversation, smile, and connection reminded us why we do this work.

We were honored to stand alongside community partners, connect with local families, and introduce youth to the opportunities, mentorship, and life lessons that baseball and softball can provide.

“goodbye to what has been”

High school was a journey like no other, and I can’t believe it’s over. My experience at Drew Charter School was extremely transformative and I am so grateful to have been surrounded by my peers, teachers, and administrators for 11 wonderful years. I am also extremely grateful for Destiny Christian Academy for molding me into the leader I became at Drew Charter School.

Though I dealt with long, stressful, and difficult days and nights, I am very proud of my accomplishments. They made me into who I am as a student, aiming to Fly Higher. Being class president for 3 years and SGA president for 1 year was no easy feat. I juggled many things alongside this, like being varsity girls golf captain, varsity cheer co-captain, co-founder and VP of 21CLub, co-founder of The Atlanta Mind Project, a Drew Ambassador, dance teaching intern, a member of YPART, NHS officer, being active and involved in Jack and Jill, and many more while showing up for my family, friends, and community. But, the hard work paid off. I made it! While one chapter has closed, I am so ready to start a new one at Spelman College! 🩵🐆

Thank you to my parents, friends, family, counselors, and every member of my village for always believing in me and my goals. I love you.

Congratulations nephew! I’m so proud of the young man you’ve become. Watching you grow into this moment has been such a blessing, and it’s hard to believe you’re already heading off to college. Time truly flies, and seeing you reach this milestone is both emotional and exciting.

As you begin this new chapter, always remember to stay true to yourself. Chase your dreams boldly, make decisions that bring you peace and happiness, and never be afraid to walk the path meant for you. You’ve already accomplished so much, and this is only the beginning of everything you’re capable of achieving.

College will bring new experiences, opportunities, challenges, and memories that will help shape your future. Embrace every lesson, enjoy the journey, and continue striving for greatness even when things get difficult. Keep your head high, stay focused, and never forget where you came from or the people who believe in you.

No matter where life takes you or how far away you may go, always know that you have a village standing behind you — supporting you, praying for you, encouraging you, and loving you every step of the way. We are proud of you today and will continue cheering you on through every accomplishment still to come.

making the choice to change the world 🩵

After countless hours of hard work, tears, late nights, stress, and worry, I am extremely grateful to finally announce that I will be attending the #1 HBCU, Spelman College.

This has been an underlying dream since I was younger, but since first stepping foot on campus during Jills Take Spelman, again for SMASH x Spelman, and finally for the Early College Program, I have been engulfed in a community and sisterhood like no other and I am so proud to call Spelman my new home.

Thank you to everyone who encouraged me and believed in me throughout this entire process. I can’t WAIT to start my own legacy as a jaguar this fall.
