🎬 THE LONG WAY DOON — THE VIDEO IS HERE! ❤️🖤

400 miles. 10 days. 10 ultra marathons.
BBC Glasgow ➡️ BBC London.

And over £70,000 raised for Comic Relief! ❤️

Our Bravehearts team took on one of our biggest challenges yet — running 40 miles every day for 10 consecutive days.

None of us had ever attempted anything like this before. There were highs, lows, pain, exhaustion and plenty of laughter — but we kept moving forward.

With incredible support from our crew, Coach @will_usher_precision_coach and sponsors Procast, Smurfit Westrock and @rundottraining , we made it to London together.

You don’t need to be the fittest or fastest. You just need to start, believe in yourself and keep putting one foot in front of the other.

DO HARD THINGS.

🎥 Watch, share and hopefully let it inspire you to take on something you once thought was impossible.

What started as an idea — running from BBC Glasgow to BBC London, taking on 10 ultra marathons in 10 consecutive days — quickly became something far bigger than just a challenge.

When we first announced it, we were told by @mayerbarbora from @comicrelief that Coach @will_usher_precision_coach from @rundottraining was willing to come on board and help us prepare. At that point, he didn’t know a single one of our 14 team members… but that didn’t matter to him.

From day one, Will gave us everything.

Free access to his RunDot training plans.
Weekly Monday night 8pm check-ins. Private Group chat to his Endless knowledge — not just about running, but nutrition, recovery, mindset, and what it truly takes to endure something of this scale.

I genuinely believe — and I said this after we finished — that without Will, some of us wouldn’t have made it. Not because of lack of heart, but because of how demanding this challenge was. He made sure we showed up prepared, physically and mentally.

Somewhere along the journey, it stopped being “coach and team”… and became friendship. A proper bond with someone who is truly one of a kind.

Now the event is over, but the connection isn’t. We’re still in touch, still learning, and already looking ahead to bigger goals together.

There’s even talk of a huge endurance event in 2027… and this time, Will doesn’t just want to coach from the sidelines — he wants to be part of the team. That says everything about the kind of person he is and the respect that goes both ways.

Will — thank you for everything you’ve done for me and the team.
Not just as a coach, but as a friend.

This is only the beginning. 💪

14 runners. 10 ultras. 10 days. One unforgettable journey to London for Comic Relief ❤️🏃‍♂️

We honestly couldn’t let this pass without giving a massive THANK YOU to @dryrobe for supporting our “Long Way Doon” challenge with 14 dryrobes 🙌

After every single run, when the miles were in the legs and the cold really hit, those dryrobes were an absolute game changer. Being able to get straight into them during our breaks kept us warm, lifted spirits, and helped us recover for the next day’s challenge.

And truthfully… without them, there’s no doubt a few of us might not have made it all the way to London.

From all 14 of us — we are incredibly grateful. Your support made a real difference, not just to performance, but to the whole experience.

Proud to have had you with us on this journey ❤️

Still trying to take it all in… what a welcome home ❤️

After 10 ultramarathons in 10 days down in London for Comic Relief, pushing ourselves to the absolute limit, we made it back to Bravehearts HQ… and the reception was something special.

To be greeted at the gates by @arwendylan and @broondavie , sitting proud on the Vespas like a proper guard of honour – that moment will stay with me forever. Seeing you both there, cheering us in, set the tone for what was an unforgettable homecoming.

And then to see so many friends, family, and supporters gathered, clapping, cheering, and welcoming us back like heroes… honestly, it meant more than words can say. After everything the team had put their bodies and minds through over those 10 days, that reception lifted us in a way nothing else could.

This challenge was never just about running – it was about people, community, and coming together for something bigger. And to now be sitting close to £70,000 raised for Comic Relief is just incredible. That’s down to every single person who supported us, donated, followed the journey, and showed up.

To Davy, Paul, and every single person who stood there waiting for us – thank you. You gave us a finish line we’ll never forget.

This is what Bravehearts is all about 🥊❤️

Happy 6th birthday to my beautiful, amazing, loving, crazy princess 💚

The girl who showed me my purpose in this world, who made me want to be the best version of myself and gives me a reason to push harder every single day. You’ve brought so much love, laughter, and chaos into my life, and I wouldn’t change a single second of it. Watching you grow, learn, and become your own little person is the most special thing I’ll ever experience.

I’m so proud of you, always. I hope your day is filled with fun, smiles, and all your favourite things. I love you more than anything in this world, forever and always my princess 💚
