How many times have you talked yourself out of doing something because you were afraid of the outcome?

As a creative, I’ve learned that fear will always try to convince you to play small. To wait. To be more “ready.” To not take the risk.

But success doesn’t come from standing still. It comes from betting on yourself, trusting your vision, and having the courage to move even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed.

Be fearless in the pursuit of the life, career, and creative vision you see for yourself. Because sometimes the only thing standing between you and your next level… is you.

Shout to @shotlist.ja for giving creatives a space to just be
Much love @iamdonisha I think you’re an amazing woman & creative

Almost a week ago my short film, Dead Weh, was featured in the Jamaican block at @shotlist.ja ! This was a milestone for me in my filmmaking career and I’m grateful to be featured among such great works. Looking forward to keep creating and sharing more works with the world. The work continues.

The experimental world of film intrigues me and as I seek to explore more dark and heavy topics, I hope to utilize this medium to do so or maybe I venture more into narrative? Let’s seeeeeee!

I am so grateful to @shotlist.ja for choosing my animated short “film” to be screened at their film event. It was a joy to take the stage with my incredibly talented friends and colleagues and discuss the animation process and the animation industry in Jamaica as a whole.

This is your sign to make @shotlist.ja a MUST attend event every year! I promise, you won’t be disappointed. Grab your crew and enjoy some shorts films from the Caribbean and all over!

I was happy to see St. Vincent and the Grenadines highlighted this year. Also to experience ‘Dead Weh’ written and directed by @chinellex starring @justeenlb, and a soft and beautiful performance from @tr33._.bwoii in ‘Paradise’. ‘St. Andrews’ also blew me away!
