Northern gannet chick on Helgoland.
They’ll eventually dive into the ocean at over 90 km/h to catch fish - sometimes more than 10m deep. Shot on an RF 400mm, kindly provided by @canonaustria

Three days. Sundown. South-west Florida.
I’ve been searching for owls for years, properly searching, and last week it finally came together.
We were incredibly lucky to find a pair of Great Horned Owls tucked deep in the pines. This was the end of day three, following whispers of a location, moving slow, waiting for the light to drop.
When it finally happened, everything went quiet.
Some moments take years to find and only seconds to disappear. #wildlifephotography #owlphotography #greathornedowl

This is what northern gannets look like from a few meters away.
Last summer on Helgoland, watching northern gannets do what they do best. This one’s been sitting in my archive for months while life, work, and some proper travel chaos got in the way.
I was there with my wife, and despite missed connections and long detours, moments like this made it all worth it.
Shot on a Canon R5 with the RF 400mm. #basstölpel #northerngannet #seabirds #birdphotography

The forest fell quiet for a moment—then came the rhythmic tapping echoing through the trees. The great spotted woodpecker, busy at work, completely unaware of its audience. These brief, intimate moments with wildlife are what make time in the field so rewarding.
If you love encounters like this, drop a comment or share with someone who’d appreciate the sound of the wild. #woodpecker #wildlifephotography #birdsofinstagram #naturelovers #birdwatching #liveforthestory

Not every shot has to be a rare sighting—sometimes a baby duck just doing its thing is all the magic you need. #wildlifephotography #nature #babyduck

Sunrise with the king of the Mara 👑🌅 Capturing this majestic male lion at dawn was nothing short of magical. The soft golden light painted the scene, but shooting in such low light can be tricky. Every detail of his powerful presence felt like it was meant for that moment.

Fun fact: Male lions may seem like they spend their days resting, but they’ll fiercely patrol their territory at night, covering up to 20 km! Protecting their pride is no easy task.
