My pre Birthday run didn’t start off as I expected but It turned into everything I needed.

Lovessss you know I don’t usually chat on camera but the first 30 seconds of this video is of me talking, a little shaky, a little nervous. if you follow me, you know that’s rare😭😂

As we start July I had to recap one of the best days in June 🤍

It was HOT that day, the kind that makes you feel every layer on your body and I had layers that meant something 🤍

My top is something my mom and I made together, pieced from my dad’s ties. pants are @friedrice_nyc

I don’t think I’ve ever felt that nervous walking into a room but opening day taught me showing up shaky still counts as showing up.

First time at Harvard got me imagining what we could build if we controlled spaces like this. The knowledge, the networks, the resources—all in service of African innovation and creativity. Still, I presume gathering all these brilliant could yield the same results I imagine, if the convening doesn’t all end at the conversation layer.

Had the opportunity to engage @elubanzadio_ Africa Lead @openai and the lovely + brilliant facilitator @ngasuma on all things creativity, the creator economy, and ways AI can equitably serve the continent and its diaspora. These are exactly the conversations I want to keep leading and participating in. c/o @africaharvard / @ahf_hsph

Shoutout to the @hbsabc for putting together a stellar conference and the brothers who made sure I was in the room. Catch me on the main stage next time.
