Wow. Where do I begin? This wasn’t your ordinary wedding day. Todd and Kara’s day was the start of a new chapter of a beautiful story. It’s a story only God could write and we couldn’t be happier for them!! Michael and I flew out to AZ for Todd and Kara’s big day but it also doubled as a United Conference reunion. 🤣🎉 So many old friends, so many sweet memories. I left feeling so grateful for the impact of @showit in our lives. Todd has been the most steadfast, most trustworthy leader in our industry since I started my business in 2008. When you find someone who leads like him, you stick with them. And that’s what we have done. So when he texted in July and asked if we would be available to capture their wedding day and make Kara a KJ BRIDE, you better believe the answer was YES!!!! 🥹🥹😭😭😭 Kara, you are as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside. Your story, your kindness, your sweet spirit…. It’s all such a gift to those who surround you. Together you and Todd are a powerhouse and we can’t wait to see what God does through you! Appreciation post for the man who has championed me since we were 15!!! For over half of my life I’ve been on the receiving end of his encouragement, love, support, and advocacy, and while we were with @showit this week, everyone else got to see and experience what I’ve been fortunate enough to for the last fifteen years. @beyondjadestudio said to me when she first looked me up after seeing who was coming on the trip, she wondered who supported me so that I could be who I am, and Eric is exactly why. I am not me without him, and she saw that immediately 🥹 I cried during Salud (and many times since) feeling like he was seen by people other than me for perhaps the first time. These trips have forged friendships for him that allow him to have fun and be competitive (and fight for Green Team’s victory!!!!) and share his heart with others. Anyone who experiences it is the luckiest person on the planet. It can’t possibly be easy being the one who keeps our household running all the time, and I truly don’t think I’ll ever have the words to explain what he means to me, but when he hears it from others like he did this week, I hope that refills his cup as well. Love you forever, my angel on earth 🩷

Showit DXP 2026. There are no words. We still can’t get over how a company like this exists in the world. @showit is simply the best, there is no other platform like them. They pour so much into their people and the circle of designers around them, on top of having the best website builder out there. Todd and the entire Showit team, thank you for creating a place where us designers can learn, connect and get our cups filled. A place that feels like we all belong. Where else are we going to meet and learn from like-minded designers all while axe-throwing, paintballing, singing karaoke, speaking life into each other around the campfire? Not to mention all of the laughs and tears we shared together. Oh, and even unexpectedly hunkering down the basement together during a tornado warning lol. This is exactly what our souls needed. Feeling reminiscent today For Meg and JJ, we kept coming back to the things people hold onto. Photographs, handwritten notes, the quilt that’s been in the family forever. Things that might not mean much to anyone else, but mean a whole lot to you. That gave us so much to work with. Tall, delicate lettering with a long, looping flourish. Little doily-inspired borders. Bouquet illustrations. The kind of details that feel familiar even if you can’t immediately explain why. We wanted the whole thing to feel refined, but not precious. Nostalgic, but not like we’d just put a vintage filter over everything and called it a day. There’s room for their photography to breathe, and plenty to notice when you look a little closer. And honestly, that’s what I love about it. The details have a reason to be there. They connect back to two photographers who care deeply about people having something to remember, and a brand that takes that just as seriously. Its different, even though it’s soft, desaturated colors and a lot of black and white.
