Had an absolute blast at the @fasl.usf contest over the weekend🛹! It’s been around 15 years since the last time I actually competed in a contest, so getting back out there felt pretty damn good. Definitely a little older and a little more beat up these days 😂 but I couldn’t be happier to be skating again. Had a ton of fun, got to skate with some great people, and I’m already looking forward to the next one! 🤘
Also big shout out to @loren_bement_photography and @big_pup1891 for the 📸🎥

Session at @philhajal today with @briandraketopnotch , @philhajal , @sam_boerger , @shrednard74 and @radrosa88. I picked a song from one of my long time favorite bands to see play live while on Warped tour over the 15-16 years that I did it, Sick of it all. Condolences to the friends and family of Lou Koller who passed away a couple days ago from a battle with cancer. Lou was the singer for @sickofitallnyc , a band that I got to travel with on the road while on the @vanswarpedtour a lot of the 15-16 years I got to do the tour. Every day before and after we skated our demos, we ( the skaters on tour) went and watched all of our favorite bands that we grew up listening to play live, from the side of the stage. It was the best seats in the house. These guys were all the music that fueled our skate sessions every day growing up skating . @rancid , @_pennywise , @socialdistortion , Helmet, Mighty Bosstines, NOFX, Bad Religeon, Seaweed, CIV, and @sickofitallnyc . Sick of it all was insane to see play live. So full of energy, and all great musicians .. Pete ( guitar and Lou’s brother) , Craig ( bass) , Armand ( drums) and Lou ( vocals) . The voice coming out of Lou on the mic sounded like the growl of a beast .So powerful sounding. In person, seemed so unassuming and in conversation he spoke like an average normal guy. With the mic in his hand, it was like he turned into the Hulk. 💥 He put his all into it, and it showed. Lou will be missed by all those who knew him and millions who listened to that powerhouse of a voice and awesome band since 1986… ❤️
