new chapter… who dis? 🥰 PART TIME BABE CLUB BIG BEAR has officially wrapped up its first season! THANK YOU SO MUCH to all of the babes who came out & became a part of this amazing community. It has been incredible to watch it flourish - even in one of the toughest seasons for snow pack! I stepped into the role of chapter development BECAUSE of Big Bear & I begged the PTBC Team to let me facilitate the beginnings of making this happen (thanks team hehe). It was a risk, bc we had never started a chapter without someone directly from the team (original founders). I spent countless hours creating resources for leaders & making phone calls from the beaches of Nicaragua. I now sit here in tears of joy, after looking through every single vid & photo from the season. Seeing something you believed in so much absolutely THRIVE, is a feeling you can’t put into words. Till next season babes🥹🫶🏼 I’m so thankful for @parttimebabeclub and @parttimebabeclub_bigbear for creating a space for support, growth, and empowerment to learn and take on the park. There is something that is so special about being in a group of women who are all cheering for each other and celebrating each others’ wins, laughing with each other, and offering support to reach our goals. I know that I was able to progress so much because of this support and encouragement, I’ve met incredible people, and it’s made this my best season yet. A new feature for this creature😎 It’s feeling more and more like spring, so it’s sending season. I’m trying as many features as I can hit within my skill progression and throwing in some ground trick drills too. I was really stoked to land this tube, tried out lay backs and long tail presses, and worked on flat-ground 180s (spoiler: I tweaked my knee from a failed 180, surprise surprise). My goal at this point is to really make the most of what remains of the snowboarding season. How did winter fly by like that?? I mean, we barely got a winter but still…🥲 Thank you @shredsledjamspread @darth.snowwalker for getting some clips!🙏🏼 Also-so obsessed with my newly thrifted hoodie. I’ll never be able to describe how much I love the @parttimebabeclub @parttimebabeclub_bigbear community but today, I’ll try 🥹 Being surrounded by women who actively WANT to see you win, progress, smile, laugh, and feel included is something special about this space. Snow sports traditionally was not an inclusive space for women – or people of color for that matter – so for me to be a Black woman in the snowboarding community and have women around me who continue to ENCOURAGE, SHARE, WELCOME, and SACRIFICE TIME to make sure I feel included, comfortable, and pushed to be better, will neeeeeverrrrrr go unnoticed And that’s just one of a billion trillion reasons I love this space I’m so grateful to be, not only a part of this community, but also an active leader for @parttimebabeclub_bigbear 🥹💖 and wowweee the babes here in Bear Lake are fcking exceptional!!
