Over the past few weeks, I’ve taken some time to process everything before saying anything publicly. I’m incredibly grateful to the many people who have reached out. To be clear…I did not resign from my coaching position at Shrine. I was let go because the AD and principal want to go in a different direction. I still can’t wrap my head around why they felt the program was going in the wrong direction. I am proud of the success we built in 6 seasons.

2026 CHSL Champs (only the 5th in school history)
2025-2026 Season: Most wins since 2007
2025 District title (first in 22 years)
2025 Regional Final appearance (first in 32 years)
BCAM Team Academic All-State (2021-2026, every year during my tenure)
CHSL coach of the year (21/22 & 25/26)
Program alumni (2024) playing at an NAIA school
Countless team experiences - from trips up north for competition to visiting various college campuses for summer team camps
Created and established a consistent off-season program

More than any of these accomplishments, I am proud of the young men who came through this program and the culture we created together.

Despite this abrupt end, I would like to offer my sincere gratitude to many people who supported us along the way - the players, families, assistants, and community. It has been a privilege to coach and teach these dedicated and talented student-athletes over the past six years.

To the Seniors and the players I won’t have the opportunity to coach next season: remember God puts on this path for a reason and though we might not understand all that we encounter while we navigate the path, trust that your path has purpose. You won’t always understand each bend in the road, but keep showing up for yourselves and your teammates. Play Hard. Play Smart. Have Fun.

Thank you for everything.
