With the heartbreaking news of @dollyparton passing today, we send our love and deepest condolences to her family, friends, and everyone whose life she touched.
"The Life of Lester Wink" short film was, in so many ways, a celebration of Dolly’s extraordinary optimism, wisdom, words, and music. Through the award-winning performances of @patshortt1, @cleliamurphy, and @ronanleahy396, we told the story of two misunderstood people who find common ground in Dolly—and, ultimately, in each other.
Dolly’s spirit became part of the heart of our film. @carbonatedcomet put together an exceptional team in Limerick, Ireland: @jamesidonnelly, who brought Dolly's spirit to life through his incredible production design; @shane_serrano, through his beautiful cinematography; and @steve_ferrone, who helped secure two extraordinary Dolly Parton songs that became central to both our story and soundtrack.
Shot and produced entirely in Ireland, the film gave us a firsthand glimpse of just how deeply Dolly is loved in Ireland and around the world. As it traveled to festivals worldwide, audiences connected immediately with her music, humor, and spirit—including at the @waterfordfilmfest, where we were honored to receive Best Narrative Short. Knowing that Dolly personally approved the use of her songs in our film has been an incredible honor for all of us.
Like so many of Dolly's songs and her philanthropic work, "The Life of Lester Wink" is about refusing to let the world define you—about finding joy, embracing who you are, and having the courage to live as your truest self.
We will always be grateful that Dolly’s words, music, humor, and outlook on life helped inspire our short film.
Rest in peace, Dolly Parton. Thank you for the music, the laughter, the kindness, and for reminding generations of us to keep looking toward a brighter future. We feel incredibly lucky that a little piece of your spirit will always live inside "The Life of Lester Wink." ❤️

In typical me fashion this post is for sure overdue, but I’d like to say a huge thank you to the RHA @rha.arts for including me in this year’s 196th Annual Exhibition in association with McCann Fitzgerald. It’s been such a huge honour and a surreal experience to be involved in such an incredible show alongside some of my favourite artists.

I’m ecstatic to even be a part of the show, let alone be shortlisted for the RCSI Art Award in association with The Irish Times, so another massive thank you to the @rcsi_irl for including my piece, Different Strokes, in the shortlist alongside four other incredible and established artists. Massive congratulations to the winner of the award, @elainebyrneartist with her beautiful piece ‘Alessia’ and the other shortlisted artists - James English, Michael Foley and Vivienne Roche.

I’d also like to thank Russell at @sumi.studio.dublin for the beautiful printing and framing, I couldn’t be happier with Sumi Studio’s high quality work and professionalism and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for excellent quality printing and framing.

And lastly thank you to everyone who’s been in to the RHA to view the piece so far, the show is full of so much fantastic work and the exhibit will be running for another 2 and a half weeks until the 9th August so if you haven’t gotten the chance yet this Summer I’d highly recommend a visit. I was art directer on Bring Them Down in winter of 2023. It was a difficult period of loss that came before, during and after the shoot but ultimately a rewarding experience.
Bring Them Down stars Barry Keoghan, Christopher Abbott, Nora Jane Noone, Aaron Heffernan and Colm Meaney and is directed by Christopher Andrews. Fittingly a tale of loss, struggle and revenge.
It is released February 7.
