We hosted one of our favorite events of the year last week: The Academic Community Engagement (ACE) Faculty Appreciation Luncheon!

Building community with faculty across campus, and disciplines, allows for collaborative initiatives and prompts the discovery of where ACE courses may overlap.

We also love celebrating our incredible faculty members with moments of recognition and prizes in honor of their dedication to ACE! 🎉

Thank you to our most recent Faculty Excellence in ACE award winner (a prestigious university-level award!), Dr. Zachary Doleshal, for sharing about his incredible ACE teaching experiences and their impact.

We would also like to recognize Dr. Anne Gaillard, Vice Provost for Faculty and Student Excellence, for taking the time to join us and expressing her appreciation for the great work of our ACE faculty.

We look forward to reconvening and celebrating again next fall! In the meantime, you can always stop by CHSS 262 for chocolate and coffee!

Meet Henry Cash, a returner Orange Key from Missouri City, TX. 🍊🗝️

Henry brings excellence, leadership, and heart to everything he does, and he has already made a meaningful impact across campus.

Henry is an honors student deeply committed to advocacy and student empowerment. He serves as Vice President of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, helping lead conversations and initiatives that promote unity, equity, and student voice. As a Chief of Staff within the Student Government Association, he works to strengthen student representation and enhance the campus experience. He is also a proud member of Ubuntu, an organization rooted in community and leadership development.

Beyond his student leadership, Henry works for the American Democracy Project, where he helps educate and engage students in civic participation and democratic learning.
Outside the classroom, Henry focuses on personal growth, whether he's in the gym, exploring new music, or watching the latest Marvel movie. He brings a joyful, uplifting energy to every space he enters.

With plans to pursue a master's degree in Cybersecurity or Management Information Systems, Henry is dedicated, motivated, and authentically himself, qualities that make him an incredible addition to the Orange Keys.

This is a VERY important term in our community and beyond (it's pretty much our motto)...

Public Service!

Community outreach and volunteerism play an important role in supporting and uplifting those around us. Many campus orgs do a great job at offering their skills and abilities to assist community partners when needed!
