POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Five mechanically compromised vehicles piloted by derelicts with an unreasonable desire to win a competition nobody fully understands…

@redclayrally was four days of long-winded tales that will only become more gregarious and more heroic as time passes.

Needless to say, we had a gnarly time.

Personally, obsessing over planning was mostly a waste of time. However, the work @cleancivilian did helping with mapping and timing, paired with the surgical precision of @cruiserlena and @shadetreedynamics, somehow had this traveling circus sitting on the podium after the first two days.

But like any competition, it ain’t over till the fat lady sings.

We fell (in a not-so-graceful way) to the current RCR champs, @abductedoffroad. They pulled off a smart plan and were on our heels the entire last day like any good competitor should be. They are back-to-back RCR champs for a reason!

Suddenly, we were pinched in an empty creek bed full of boulders, unsure if our last truck was dead or just behind, and with no option but to keep moving.

We all got a little spicy.

One bolt. One bad radio. One truck left for dead.
Many things went wrong before we even hit the hard stuff…

There’s something strangely intimate about suffering in the woods with your friends. You find out pretty quickly who keeps their head, who loses theirs, who’ll turn around when somebody is missing, and who will drag you out of a hole when there’s absolutely nothing in it for them.

Somewhere between the broken parts, bad decisions, exhaustion and disappointment, five trucks felt like a human centipede.

Led by @millcreekoverland, we rarely needed a spot from @sean_sinn. Our “WIZARD WINCH BOY” @jwhitetrousdal popped his offroad cherry as he smoked his cherry wizard wand. We even had a real JEEP, it’s @country.fried.overland XJ! And @kenny.the.boomer previewed his perfect, tattooed body… but you only get a taste…

We didn’t come home with the finish we wanted.
We came home with a DQ, a broken truck, stories that will become outright lies, and a group of people I’d gladly make terrible decisions with again.

Regardless of the DQ, it felt good.

It felt really fucking good.

Epic weekend, epic shots!

A couple of sick photos thanks to @shuckwagonadv / @glamdring.media from @redclayrally with @abductedoffroad

The next hill we found the Kei truck rolled. Stopped and helped get the guys back up and called help down from this checkpoint.

I swapped out my 50-watt GMRS system and both antennas for a 5-watt system that’s superior… which sounds backwards. The previous setup was fine, but GME’s quality, technology, and ecosystem just seem more polished and well thought out.

Do your own homework, but I guess there’s a reason Aussies rely on GME in the outback, and Aussie products haven’t let me down yet! 🇦🇺🦘

The @DobinsonsUSA Red Clay Rally 2026 is FINISHED. 3 Days of some RIDICULOUS trails, we had a 60% attrition rate, our highest by a good margin. 2026 proved to be exceedingly hard.

Left to right:

For our 10th year celebration, our 2026 Red Clay Rally Champion is Team 702. @abductedoffroad

2nd Place: Team 11 @jgdad_ctd returned from a multi year hiatus from RCR following his military retirement. He returned to prove hes still got it!

3rd Place: Team 84 was 1 point away from a podium finish last year and after 6 years has finally made it! @bamfamilyadventures

Great job teams, 2026 was a wildly difficult year and you earned every second!

More photos to come shortly!

A HUGE thank you to our sponsors for making RCR and believing in us for a great 10 years!

A little behind the scenes from when Angel Studios used the 80 Series as part of the set during interviews for the new film Runner. Pretty damn cool seeing an old Toyota Land Cruiser sitting under studio lights with a full production crew around it.

Normally I’m behind the camera shooting rigs in the dirt. This time, the rig got its own moment in front of the cameras.

Always cool seeing the worlds of automotive, film, and photography cross paths.

Go see @runnermovieofficial in theaters while you still can!!

‼️ Red Clay Rally East Oct 2nd - 4th ‼️

RCR doesn’t leave much time for mucking around with a camera. You’re navigating, hitting checkpoints, keeping the rig together and trying to finish, getting badass photos and video usually comes second.
———
Last year I got a good feel for how RCR works and this year while shooting media for Red Clay Rally, I’m opening an option for team media packages.
———
Send me your team number + rigs. When you cross my path on course, I’ll already know to look for you and give your team some extra attention.
———
‼️ 📸 PACKAGE $150 ‼️
• 10+ edited photos
• 2+ video clips
• 30–60 sec highlight reel
———
Camp shots may be available too, just hit me up in the staff camping area!!
———
DM Glamdring Media to get on the schedule
———
Drive the track, send it, break it, and my team will make it look bloody good 🤙🏼

The @DobinsonsUSA Red Clay Rally 2026 is just a few short months away! This 10 year celebration will be kicking off October 2-4 at @LeatherwoodOffroad Park, Kentucky. Red Clay Rally is giving away over $10,000 in prizes to celebrate a decade of RCR and registration is filling up FAST!

Limited slots are available. We are camping in the all new campground, just minutes away from Red Clay Rally hill, an obstacle named by the park to commemorate the hundreds of RCR competitors successfully tackling the hill, more than any other event held at the park!

Toyotas, Jeeps, Nissans, Isuzus and even a Grenadier may make an appearance, so whatever your flavor of 4x4, you'll be in good company at RCR.

This Red Clay Rally will also implement a new scoring system for one day of RCR to challenge both drivers and navigators, pushing the limits of teams while honing in on the skills needed to be a successful rally team.

Assemble your teams, prepare your trucks. 10 years of Red Clay Rally is coming in HOT.

Link in Bio to register for RCR2026, it's filling up FAST!

I love the community of friends we have here in Tennessee. Whether it’s cleaning up along back roads & federal land, Christmas toy drives for Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital or a Vacation Bible Study offroad truck meet up… the homies come through and show their support for each other and their community. Thanks @nashville_off_road and @overland_xterra_615 for having us over to show off our rides Father’s Day weekend at Christ Is Love Church. Always a good time getting the crew together to share our passion, and our builds for a good cause. It’s been a busy year so far, and finally getting to see @shuckwagonadv ‘s 80 Series come together is a work of art, especially that wood work on the drawers. Plus @holler_built and @fj_lives_matter growing their business and seeing their builds they’ve been apart of over the years. Hope everyone had an epic Father’s Day. #community #overlanding #fathersday #thecrew
