DAY 6 - PLUM of @peachtober

Have you heard of the Plum Pigeon? It’s a ferocious plum devourer and a loud one at that! Kiki was sweetly napping under a tree when all of a sudden a rain of plum pieces began falling. The audacious plum pigeon didn’t care.

The pigeon is inspired by a real pigeon I saw on a walk this summer, I didn’t have my camera so I asked my boyfriend for a few more photos to use as reference, I just knew I will be drawing it at some point, I’ll revisit it again in the future, but I’m glad I used it here.

This one I made at the end of September before I’d decided on Kiki having white front paws so let’s just say they might’ve been very muddy from playing in the orchard. thankyouvertmuch

I’m quite enjoying making those collages, it brings me right back to the humid, hot September air, cicadas and of course, the thrill of finding the eki stamp at every possible spot 🚃

I love how there are special tables for them, but also when all you find is a tiny plastic container with a stamp and inkpad inside, or a metal machine where you have to bend down and look up inside if you’ve placed the paper right while an eager queue is forming behind you… or when you have to ask the station staff for it. Oh, and the castle ones, too!

So many memories captured in photographs, sometimes I feel like I want to publish heaps of them. Not sure why I don’t. Recently I’ve started collaging and it’s such a simple joy, brings me back to a state of mind, like just being a kid with scissors and craft glue and that’s the best thing in the world. I’ve got photos from previous trips just waiting to be made into something. But I have to start somewhere…

The trip to Japan seems like a fever dream, good thing I have photos to remind myself it actually happened. This is part one.

🚨"TWO SUNS IN AUGUST" STREAM 🚨

Hands on the helm, set on course through the sea of what lasts. Now act as a wave!

Bridges and cities, and birds will vapor away - away is my grave. Into a storm, tie the sails and let the waves weep. Toss as you will!

Up in the air, blinded by a fiery flair. So close to the Sun, Come watch me burn!

Here they come, two suns in a melting crimson daydawn. Don’t fret about it.

Woke on a shore with my navel string tied around the neck. I threw up a sea.Burden and joy and the sun will go as they came - it was a good day.

Meeting you all, laughing and leaping around the bonfire of life.

I was just passing by and now it's time for me to carry on. It's the end of the night. Come watch me burn!

Here they come, two suns in a melting crimson daydawn. Don’t fret about it as we’ll all be forgotten.
Here it comes - the end of the world and it's not on a Tuesday. I don't know where.

At the end of the road we learn how to walk.
We learn how to breathe at the end of the song.
It’s the end of the world, the end of the time.

Come watch me burn! Hey, forth I go on, so lend me your sorrow. Your sorrow!

Here it comes - the end of the world.
But don’t fret about it, ‘cause we’ll all be forgotten.

"Snooze" IS OUT NOW FOR STREAM & PRE-ORDER!

LISTEN & SUPPORT:

These last few years felt like a few decades being in an almost half-awake state. Every news cycle makes us feel stuck in a pretty bad dream, scrolling past another tragedy, asking for 5 more minutes.

Oversleeping is not an option now, because these are the times that reveal who stands for what.

This album is our long overdue tribute to what’s truly worth getting out of the bed for every day. Thank you for supporting us.

Especially Kiril Petrushev Bus-t , Audioslot and all of our friends and foes.

Artwork concept by Maksim

P.s. - No A.I. was used to generate any part of these sounds or images.
