This week I celebrated my one year anniversary as a Tulsan! 🤠 It has been an exciting,
fascinating and growing experience! I moved to Tulsa only after almost a year of starting my own business (Fruitful Media Group/ @fruitfulmediagroup).

Being a new entrepreneur has its challenges... However, while in Tulsa I’ve managed to gain so much valuable knowledge on succeeding and running a sustainable business in my industry, and so much more.

I'm so thankful to have made the friends and connections that I’ve made in a short window. I hope to continue to build my community and foster more positive partnerships during my time in Tulsa.

Huge thanks to @tulsaremote for bestowing such a wonderful opportunity. 💕

🍇 Happy #nationalwineday to all the vino connoisseurs out there! Are you team red, white, or rosè? Let me know in the comments... I’m definitely for all three, but white is my go-to. (Personal Update👇🏾)

I’ve been a little MIA while taking some time away from social media, and working on a few special projects.... I’ve been so overwhelmed lately. 😩

A few things I’m working to get better at:

• Setting boundaries and sharing my limits with others

• Resting

• Learning to put my physical and mental health first

• Making more time for hobbies

• Saying no

• Finding overall balance
——
If you’ve overcome any of these things I’d love to hear about best practices. (shoot me a DM)

"We must continue to go forward as one people, as brothers and sisters."

Happy Birthday to the late John Lewis, a true American hero and civil rights icon! He would have been 81 on today. May we all be inspired to be #GoodTrouble makers during our time here.

Happy #NationalDrinkWineDay! It’s one of my favorite holidays that I happen to celebrate all year long. Popping open a bottle of rosè tonight while binge watching “Being Mary Jane” for the 1,000th time. Drop a 🍷🥂 in comments if you’re celebrating today and let me know what’s your wine of choice.

Also, for those of you in the Hattiesburg area... my favorite place to pick up wine is @twinforkshattiesburg. They have a beautiful selection of wine and spirits, and they make a pretty amazing charcuterie platter too.

Ending my Tuesday with chocolate, strawberries, and wine— just because.

Today’s been a pretty productive day. I was craving something sweet and decided to make chocolate covered strawberries and this spread.

Currently watching Being Mary Jane for the umpteenth time. What kinds of things do you do to help you unwind after a long day?

Who else is in need of some warm comfort food? 🙋🏾‍♀️ I can’t believe that in Hattiesburg, MS, the low tonight will be 12° F with wind chills below 0. 🥶 (BELOW ZERO!!!!) There is nothing else I wanted more tonight than to dive into my favorite chili recipe from @cravingsbychrissyteigen cookbook... plus and minus a few things.

I have made this dish a few times and have it up in my highlights if you’d like to watch, but get the cookbook if you want the full original recipe.

I have always added roasted petite or chili tomatoes... tonight I added fire roasted corn.

I hope y’all are staying warm out there! 🧣

Don’t forget to check out my page @shuncole to watch me make #JohnLegend’s chili recipe.
