Thank you to everyone who has inspired me to be a better Blue Devil. Thank you to my staff for being my biggest supporters and mentors even when i give a hard time lol. Everyone who has put the time and effort on getting to know/understand me has meant a lot and will stick with me forever and always. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for everyone on the team i love you guys so much and miss it already and it’s only been two days 😭😭

Blue Devils International - putting the “I” in DCI 🔵

They say when one door closes, another one opens. If you had told me when I graduated high school that I’d do marching band in Europe, I wouldn’t have believed you. And yet, I now find myself incredibly humbled by the opportunities that music continues to place in front of me. To experience drum corps again, to perform on an international stage, and to represent American marching band and the country itself among far more talented musicians than I is an honor for which there are no words to express my gratitude.

As incredible as the experience of travel and pageantry is, as always, the best part is the people. Both the membership of BDI and the cast of the Basel tattoo at large have produced countless cherished friends, far too many to name and even more difficult to say goodbye to. I will always be grateful for the long days (and nights), fond memories, cold cut sandwiches, and incredible people that made this summer so special!!!
