What a night.

Last Friday, Kurma Kshetra came alive with music, rhythm, poetry and a room full of people singing, moving and simply enjoying the moment.

More than 50 people gathered for Mehfil-e-Qawwali and the energy was everything we hoped for. A beautiful evening of Sufi music, shared voices, good people and a whole lot of groove.

A special thanks to @anushaveeresh_ and @maarga_mysuru for bringing this beautiful evening to Kurma Kshetra and making it happen.

Thank you to everyone who came and made the mehfil what it was.

Here’s to many more nights like this at Kurma Kshetra. ❤️

🌺 Ganesh Chaturthi at Kurma Kshetra 🐘

Kurma ka Raja is here! 🐘❤️

Today, we welcomed Ganesha ji into our space for three beautiful days.

We began by preparing the Shala together cleaning, decorating, filling the space with flowers, making garlands, putting tikas and creating a little home for our Ganesha. And then, with puja, prayers and a lot of love, we welcomed him into Kurma.

For the next three days, Ganesha ji will be here with us, bringing his presence, playfulness, wisdom and blessings into the space.

So if you’re around Gokulam, come meet our Ganesha, sit with him, offer a prayer and spend some time with us. 🌺

The doors are open.

Humbled to witness people going deep into their bodies

It is deeply moving for me to be able to create such spaces where one can just BE , rest without a worry

And it takes courage for one to let go and allow what follows. It is not always about pleasure, but also the unease it brings. How far can you stay with what emerges and let it dissolve, in its own timeline

Grateful to all these people who let me capture their vulnerable selves

It has been many years now that body has been instinctively asking to slow down, to call for rest - to be able to act in fullness

Full in the heart
Alive in the bones

That's how I love to live and wish to live

And It is fortunate that my work calls into what I feel is the need of these times

I meet people with tired bodies, dull faces, dryness that translates into holding back and not reaching out for fullness, the lack of elasticity in tissues as well as minds

When I witness them going into deep rest, it reminds me how much each one of us need that, and seeing them waking up with fresh glowing faces is like sun glowing upon them

It is radical

It is work and takes courage to choose rest over our occupied lives

And that won't change unless we decide and find our way through BALANCING

Being rhythmic over productivity
Being restful over stimulated

There lies a blessing

Those who practice understand and taste that

There is something beautiful about watching people learn, explore, stumble, discover and move together.

A few moments from our Flow Therapeutics classes, where movement becomes a conversation between awareness, playfulness and possibility.

These classes are currently on pause while Chandraprakash takes a short break and will resume after 6th July.

I honour the space and people who joined me to create an experience together. As I teach in physical spaces, I feel receptivity in a tangible way- with the studio, with physical presence of people, words and movement.

We explored the states of repose, curiosity and openness, how the body starts to respond shedding inhibitions and feel charged and free.
