IN CORPORE is the visual immersion of the Australian photographer of Slovak origin, @adrianmesko amongst the members of @balletnationaldemarseille led by @la.horde - the artistic trio formed by @marinebrutti @arthurharel and @jonathan.debrouwer -. Over three months, shortly before the lifting of the travel restrictions imposed by the pandemic, Adrian Meško documented the daily life of a ballet company deprived of physical interaction with its audience and secluded in the building-fortress designed by Roland Simounet. This period of interaction and observation, enabled him to capture the rituals, solidarity and energy of this extraordinary collective, while also witnessing the return to the stage of (La)Horde, whose creations took on an even more political dimension, and the global reputation would soon be cemented by collaborations with major international artists. Across training sessions, rehearsals, improvised choreographies, and moments of intimacy, the photographer fixed the prelude to this explosion, imbued with desire and rebellion. Beyond the group, this material also reveals strong individual personalities and reflects the many faces of (La) Horde: an avant-garde collective that draws on the energy of conflict, uprising or embrace; a manifesto of diversity driven by varied backgrounds, ages, genders and artistic trajectories but also a platform for body politics exploring identity(ies), sexuality(ies), body control and normativity, and the shifting boundaries between art and ‘content’ ◻️Reunited in an art book for @librairieyvonlambert this material is for the first time presented through an exhibition, in the city were it was created and in a place - Le Corbusier’s Unité d’Habitation, which hosted exactly 70 years ago a Festival de l’art d’avant garde featuring Le Teck, a creation of Maurice Béjart’s ballet, and where @la.horde was filmed by @ladjly for Chanel Croisière fashion show in 2024◻️Opening July 10th at 7pm ◻️ Produced by @kolektiv_citeradieuse and @galerie318 with @institutslovaqueparis 🔹Images: @adrianmesko courtesy of @balletnationaldemarseille

Collaboration has been at the heart of so much of what I create. Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of working with Hannah @goedart.visuals, whose visuals and ideas never fail to push my music into unexpected territories.
