Gaucin Open Studios 2026 with our delightful clients. A special moment to meet the artist and enjoy looking at different studios. Every year I take the group to different places. This year Raffaela Zenoni @raffaelazeno whose beautiful house and garden they enjoyed and those peeping eyes behind windows. Juan Sangil @sangil_escultor and his studio was also a lovely haven on a hot day as Ana Pellon @anapellonpariente . We then saw Michael Roschlau @michaelroschlau and enjoyed the chat and the contrast with Nozomi @nozomi .... Sian Faber @sianifaber was a big success as she showed them how to cut murano glass and a beautiful piece was bought. They also liked Paco Vivar @gauart not shown here
We ended in Joseba's studio@sanchez_zabaleta and here again there were happy customers.
Shout out to Adrian Barclay @adrianbarclay and Gill Marles @gillianmarles with some great work and the wonderful Rod Stokes@rodstokes and of course Silvia Franco @silviafrancoart whose studio is great this year as ever.
Such talent! Cant see it all but Visit Gaucin! @visitgaucin

2025 Valentines Day Reflections (a Year in Review 2/3):

I guess I should have written something about the groups of photos I chose in more detail at the time I posted this series, but alas - hindsight.

The most wonderful thing about my journey to this vibrant new land, has been building friendships and sharing experiences with my loved ones on this side of the globe. People all have their own story, a tapestry of life, which they share parts of with you. Being included in their tapestry is really a blessing. And the more of the design they show you, the more honoured you are.

I’ve also travelled to places I previously didn’t even know I could dream about. Had my ‘dolce vita’ moments, and had some really hard farewells.

I’ve learned to be honest with myself about what true connection feels like, and to appreciate it.

Thank you so much to every one of you that shares in my life, back home in SA, and here in Europe and Spain.

I am honoured.
