Ellie was first diagnosed with end stage kidney failure at the age of 16, and has since faced numerous obstacles with her battle against this debilitating condition. After spending 14 months on dialysis, she received a successful kidney transplant in 2009 at the age of 17, which allowed me to live a full and vibrant life for 13 years.

At the age of 29 in 2022, Ellie’s transplanted kidney began to fail. This led her to receive multiple blood transfusions to manage her deteriorating condition. Due to her health history - her body has developed antibodies, dramatically reducing my chances of finding a successful donor match.

Finding a suitable kidney match is now extremely important. The selfless act of donating a kidney could grant Ellie the second chance at life that she needs.
