May Field Report

@davidkantermo heard there were waves in Lofoten, packed the car, and strapped a rooftop tent to it. Scored a couple of mellow sessions and somehow got talked into swimming with orcas.

@johncrawfordcurrie road-tripped north through Norway, crossed the Arctic Circle, and wrapped up the season in Riksgränsen. Watched the comp, got some work done, and finished things off with a hike up Nordals for one last run in powder and sunshine.

@siddamon also road-tripped to Riksgränsen, picked up @erikarnewing at Kiruna Airport, and lined up for the Riksgränsen Banked Slalom. It was everything you could hope for: snowboards, sun, slush, community, beers, and everything in between.

@erikarnewing got picked up at Kiruna Airport to join @siddamon for the Riksgränsen Banked Slalom. Had much the same experience and still managed to squeeze in a 2:00 a.m. tour on the final day.

@jarvinen.rasmus squeezed every last bit of winter out of his cabin in Kittelfjäll, Sweden. Skinned 800 vertical meters, pitched the tent, made dinner, and headed out for an evening lap. Woke up and did the exact same thing the next morning before heading back down.

Late-season missions hit different. Lifts are closed. Fewer people. You get the crew together.

Spring didn’t quite deliver this year. But late season isn’t about perfect conditions — it’s about not being done yet. Spring 2024 was one to remember.

Great things always happen when marketing and customer service book the morning meeting at Stellar Equipment.
