At 6.0, the game isn’t about hitting harder. It’s about deciding faster. Speed up or reset? Poach or trust my partner? Every point is 100 tiny decisions made in under a second. 🥒🧠 Here’s a glimpse into my mind as I drill with my friend @varun_netflicks

💥 The biomechanics of a powerful pickleball serve

Where does serve power actually come from?

It’s the combined contribution of several movements:

1️⃣ Lower body: Ground interaction supports force production and movement toward contact.

2️⃣ Pelvis and trunk: Coordinated rotation contributes to upper-body angular velocity.

3️⃣ Shoulder and elbow: Help position and accelerate the paddle.

4️⃣ Forearm and wrist: Contribute to the final paddle velocity and orientation.

5️⃣ Contact: Paddle speed, face angle and the ball-paddle collision determine the resulting ball trajectory and speed.

The important distinction? These movements don’t operate in isolation. They work together to produce paddle speed and control the direction of the serve.

🎾 Save this breakdown for your next serving session.

This is probably the most unnecessary shot, but it’s a good tool to keep your opponents guessing 😅
