And now we have one more reason to raise a glass! Livermore Valley has officially been named Wine Enthusiast’s 2026 American Wine Region of the Year!

With more than 180 years of winemaking history, over 50 wineries, and generations of passionate growers and winemakers, our beautiful valley is getting the national recognition it deserves!

But what makes Livermore Valley so special goes far beyond the wine. It’s the people, the history, the family-owned businesses, the friendships, and that genuine sense of community that makes this place feel like home.

As 4th-generation Livermore Valley residents, this recognition means so much to us. We’ve watched our community grow and evolve, but the heart of this place has never changed. It’s why we love raising our families here, supporting local businesses, and helping others find their own place to call home.

It’s also why we’re especially proud that @valeandvinerealestate is the Official Real Estate Company of @livermorevalleywine! Five years ago, I took a giant leap of faith.

I had a vision for what I wanted my business to look like, the kind of experience I wanted to provide my clients, and ultimately, the legacy I wanted to build.

Starting Pillar Real Estate was exciting, intimidating, and one of the biggest decisions I’ve made in my career.

Partnering with Side to bring that vision to life was hands down one of the best decisions I could have made. Their support has allowed me to build a business that reflects my values, while giving me the freedom to do things my way and always put my clients first.

33 Things I’ve Learned at 33 🤎

1. Say thank you. Often.
2. Compliments. Acknowledge a job well done. If you notice something good, say it out loud.
3. Know when to apologize, and mean it.
4. Be kind. It costs you nothing.
5. Give people grace. We’re all figuring it out.
6. Give yourself a little grace, too.
7. Never show up empty-handed.
8. Call your loved ones.
9. Answer the phone.
10. Make time for the people who make time for you.
11. Invest in your relationships. They’re worth the effort.
12. If you say you’re going to show up, show up.
13. Keep your word, especially when it’s inconvenient.
14. Be generous with your time, not just your money.
15. Celebrate your friends’ wins like they’re your own.
16. Support your friends and the businesses they’re building. Show up, share their work, tell people about them.
17. Make the introduction. Open the door for someone.
18. Be the person who brings people together.
19. Send the handwritten note.
20. There is so much to learn from people who see the world differently than you.
21. Pay attention to how people make you feel.
22. Learn to say no without feeling the need to explain yourself.
23. You can always start over.
24. Consistency matters more than getting it perfect.
25. Overdeliver. Do a little more than what’s expected.
26. Leave people and places better than you found them.
27. It’s okay to be busy. Just remember to rest, too.
28. Don’t save all your joy for the weekends.
29. Open the nice bottle. You don’t need an occasion.
30. Make the reservation. Plan the trip. Buy the tickets.
31. Take the dog(s) with you whenever you can.
32. Sometimes the best plans are the ones you want to cancel.
33. The older you get, the more you realize that time is the real luxury.
