“Is this networking?” Nope. It’s The Commons. Our first event after work. We got together on a rooftop with the Boston skyline lit up behind us. More than a few people came up to us during and after the night and asked some version of the same question: “Wait, is this networking? It doesn’t feel like networking.” That’s the whole point. No name tag small talk, no pitching at each other. Just people who are building things, getting to know each other for real. And what a group it was. Attendees in marketing, real estate, photo and production, startups, video games, and more, from all over the country, all in one place. Young people in Boston figuring it out, getting inspired, and leaving with more energy than they came in with. Big thank you to everyone who came out and supported. You’re the reason this works. this might be the most New England dinner reservation I’ve ever made 🦞🌊 I recently went out with Townsend Lobster Co. in Provincetown and got to see what a day in the life of a local lobsterman actually looks like. We did it all! Hauling traps, sorting the catch, banding claws and learning about the fishery straight from the people who do it every day. And then comes the best part: you head back to their houseboat in Provincetown Harbor and quite literally eat the catch while the sun goes down. Lobster, local raw bar, family recipe chowder, corn 🤤 They currently have 3 different charter options, including the full Trap-to-Table experience starting at $175/person, and they only take 1–6 guests, so it’s super intimate. Trips run Monday–Friday through September 15th with 4pm departures from MacMillan Pier. Scotland may not have won the World Cup, but they WON the World Cup. What an honor to see our cousins across the pond play in the World Cup for the first time since 1998. Boston was a blast and we had Miami FOMO - truly such a wonderful group of people I am so happy for the culture of the tartan army to take center stage in so much content lately. The World Cup is healing us before our eyes… the content we didn’t know we needed. From the tartan army scots taking over Boston (and now Miami) to the Viking row with the Norwegians.. Japanese trying bbq and Buc-ee’s and teams from all over the world coming together. As an expat who has been exposed to many cultures before, I have never seen anything like this and I absolutely can’t get enough of it!!!
